Manual is not useless.Auto will never give shutter above 0.5s.
If you want to shoot stars, you will need the 30s.
Also you can fix the WB if auto recognizes wrongly the colours (many phones have warm colours at night, sony too)
If companies (except Apple and Google) provide it, they expect it to be used.
Also, you cant do what Cinema Pro does with auto mode of default app.
LetsGoDigital made a render of 5 ii that front looks exactly like Samsung Note 10.
Pretty disgusting.
🤢🤮

Very edited photo with readable text in the night shot is certainly appreciated.

Please, dont say your next request is bright shadows like they were being hit by sun light directly like samsung phones do.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
It is suspicious they say Photo Pro is not ready, but it was for the event press. 😒
LOL, did you guys see dxo is waiting until Samsung fixes the s***** AF on Ultra so they can publish the review.
This is ridiculous. As much as the Find X2 Pro photos without exif data.
Dont expect 1 ii to be more than 107.
For non-photography reasons.
I bet one nugget box they will again test
1080@30 video instead of the
4K@60 HDR.
Excuse for X5 was that according to them there is no EIS for 4K on X5.

It doesn't have to be bright like that but unreadable text in the night shot make it look really bad.

Depends. Can your eyes see what's writen?
If answer is no, the cam does not have too either.
20 Ultra has the same issue.
It will become popular feature this year.
😏
What's inside the store matter more than the name of the store.
Neon signs are very ugly anyway.
I suspect the "night mode" is DRO.
That example from promo, the guy playing with the ball.
No way you can take that photo using the regular night mode (slow shutter + stacking).

Yes my eyes can see what's written and also my p20 pro able to catch any light object without blow away a lot of the detail unlike Xperia.

Of course it isn't useless, but that's not what I wrote.

If I have a cloudy day here.
A) my phone decides to use shutter 1/2000s.
B) my phone decides to use shutter 1/200s
A = gray clouds
B= white clouds and too bright sky
Same processing.
Do not forget that AS mostly chooses LANDSCAPE, even when HDR is required.
You can do like gsmarena does. They put on manual, turn on hdr and leave the rest auto. It is like auto hdr ...
Can someone please find memthe info about the max Shutter (if is still 30s or more) and max ISO?
Hehehe that's exactly the reason why Xperia camera is deemed not good enough. Auto mode is all over the place and a lot more inconstant compared to others. I had way too many times camera do different thing when shooting the same thing with two seconds difference between shots.

P20 Pro night mode is notorious for killing off highlights and spotlights. It produces evenly lit image most of the time with very little light contrast. I'm not saying it's bad it's just a matter of personal taste.

Website says it can use the UCH32C charger.
But this one is 18W.
So, how can the phone be 21?
If the one in the box is 21W, pointless to mention compatibility with a slower one.
