On SE website i found 3 data cables compatible with T28:
1: RS 232; DRS-10
2: RS 232; DRS-11
3: DCU-11
Any of these data cables work as service/unlock cables ? Probably is a stupid question , but ...

None of those from the SE website would unlock your phone as they're just data cables, what you need is a service cable.
I got mine from here:

just to clear things up for once and all... i am not coming back to this thread anymore...
1. I just updated firmware (only *.K7S) file from R2L to R2AA... It disn't eat my credit, but also didn't do what I wanted. Of course that I miss languages now... So even firmware upgrade (for example in future from R2AA to R3A) is not free... you have to upload all 3 files and it will cost you 1 credit.
2. Debranding your phone with version 1.30 will not allow you to use SE US.

Hello there!
I own a (Vodafone branded) F500i and bought 2 credits and a T28 serial cable to decustomise it from faceoffmobiles. Just one question here: Do I have to unlock the phone first? I don't think it's locked because I don't use a Voda SIM card, that's why I'm asking this. And if I have to unlock the phone, should this be done BEFORE the decustomisation or AFTER?
Anyway, I downloaded TotalServer version 1.30 and the K5S and K5D files needed for this and followed the instructions on the site carefully.
When I pressed Flash however and was asked to press on in the phone nothing happened! I removed the battery and tried again by putting it on and then it worked. It said: "Start signal received, phone detected:K700/K700i/K500/F500i/S700i, sending preloader..." and then "Communication error! The serial speed might be too high! Please try lower serial speed." (Is there a lower speed?)
The cable speed is 115200bps, DTR and RTS enabled and my COM1 port is also configured at 115200 bps, 8 data, 1 stop, no parity, hardware control. I tried COM2 but no luck!
Where is the problem? Could you help me please?
