Not much change in the camera quality.
New firmware is the lower of the 2 comparisons attached. First comparison is indoor flash.
Outdoor - "tripod" mounted (again, bottom crop is the new firmware):
Bloody hell. They're awful.
I can't believe how poor the camera on this phone is.

Is it a clever feature I've not understood? Is it perhaps meant to be;
GSM + 3G (No HSDPA)
GSM only
HSDPA (GSM + 3G + HSDPA)
make sense...
Yes, but I am not sure that's right either!! As my network (Orange) has about one base station in the UK that has HSDPA, I can't easily test my theory.
More confusing is the other K850i that has a T-Mobile SIM in it. T-Mobile has HSDPA on ALL of its network, but at the moment the phone is only showing 3G - whether it's on GSM + 3G or HSDPA.
EVEN more confusing is the help text, which makes no sense; "Deselect a network, if unavailable. Searching for unavailable networks consumes battery power". Hmm, you can't actually deselect anything and I don't think it means you select HSDPA to turn it off!! That would mean you select GSM to force 3G (and I can safely say that this isn't the case - you do in fact force it to use GSM only).

@1889...hhhhmmmmmm.....are you kidding...its a cell phone...NOT EVEN N82 looks better when you zoom in like that....k850 have easily best details, (Nokia have more vivid colors, but NOT better details).
so STOP think that some cell phone will look perfect when you zoom in ten times (or something).
this "REAL" comparing pics show everything.

The things I've noticed:
*Sound at touchkeys
*Pictures slide different than before in Media
*In camera options, going to the veryfar right and it show settings automatically
The thing I was hoping for was to take faster pictures when the object is moving a little bit. N95 is much better on this and the k850's get all blurry.

Sorry I disagree.

K850 photos are better than K800. It take skills to capture good shots.
I'm not a photographer, indeed

I just use the phone like a point-and-shoot camera. That's the same way I used my old K800i. Simply, I find the pictures taken with K800i sharper than the ones taken with K850i.

The battery seems to last more than with the 038 firmware. Do you agree?
