@jaxray: as long as it's warrantied, evidence by a receipt, i think minimal charge (if ever). got mine pre-owned for cheap(9t) with warranty, 3months used. had it cleaned inside (dust) at 1st asia, but they broke they casing, so they 'replaced it. for free. looks brand new now!
texting? the main difference is (I use T9) is the "_" is located at the "0" button, unlike ericsson, it's located at the "1". siemens is almost similar to nokia re: manual texting
