@2tek: Welcome back! :-) Port 9201 should work. If its not working, it must be due to some other reason, not the port. @all: I am posting this from Covenant University, Otta, where my family and I are visiting an old friend.

I just downloaded opera mini to my wife's 7250i - and it works well. Only niggles are vmobile's GPRS time-outs

And its getting bad these days.
@Aya: I thought opera requires web access to work? how come it runs on your wifey's fone or did you subscribe?
@Seinsho&Teexl: I think your opera is not working becuase Vmobile pre-paid (like Glo classic) doesn't support web access, except of course you have received some lessons from Mamba on phone tweaking

@2Tek: welcome back, how were your exams?
I presume you are trying to configure the fone with a new SIM other than your previous one. If this is so, then you need to first get the SIM activated for GPRS. Insert the SIM into your K700i and request for OTA settings from 3888. as soon as you receive them (you do not need to save the settings) remove the sim and insert into the other fone, it should work as long as there is signal. Port 9201 works for me.

@amby: Not sure why or how (and I couldnt be bothered for now), but Opera mini works fine on my wife's Vmobile-enabled 7250i. I just loaded the Esato homepage on it a few minutes ago. @senisho: The GX10 should work. I got a friend's GX1 browsing two weeks ago.

No Seinsho, I use SE and Siemens, but I believe that any phone that supports GPRS wap can be configured, it only requires patience and diligence. Dont give up, at the worst, you can bring the phone to "Mpowered lives" weekly help desk at the Unilag conference centre Sundays b/w 1pm and 3pm O:)

@Angelgirl and all those who do not have smartphones, but wish to use Yahoo messenger, there's wap messenger available at:
http://sg.mm.yahoo.com
It works well, only that you have to refresh manually.
@Coola: I remember sending you a PM with the opera lite download link. That version is what Angel and I use on our T610, and it works perfectly.
forget about the SA free wap stuff, it doesn't work here.
