For a sample guide check

Exactly. My C905 is running totally fine (Apart from more issues with GPS settings!). When I bought the K850i, it was clear within 48 hours there were lots of things wrong with it.
So I got Wayfiner running, but now I get a message saying the GPS can't recieve a signal. Any ideas?
is the gps reciver turned on in the menu? you can activate and inatctivate the gps recvier.
Yes it's turned on. It finds about three sats just outside the 'target' range, but then loses them, finds them , loses them, finds them...
Just can't get a signal. The status just always says searching and the signal strength in map mode is nil.

@Marty
I have noticed a somewhat similar behaviour. It certainly tends to find/lose satellites over and over. On one occasion I got a fix after some twenty seconds when viewing the 'status info', but just like you I have never seen Wayfinder reporting 'connected'.
I assume you try to connect when outdoors?

Yes. Always outdoors. Just doesn't seem capable of doing it.

Frustrating. I actually have some expectations regarding these navigation capabilities and the possibilities of using this unit as a navigation tool when needed.
You do know that it's actually possible to download maps to the phone in advance? Wayfinder's website is being very unclear about this, but it seems to be the case. You have to sign up for that though, trial subscription won't do.

Downloading the maps is still no good if the phone can't figure out where I am on the map

Agreed, but this issue has to be resolved somehow.
To me it makes a significant difference if I can prepare a trip by getting the maps and reducing the data download to a minimum (especially if abroad since I got unlimited data at home). Wayfinder website is differing between 'WF online' and ' WF preloaded' where preloaded seems not to apply to java phones. After searching the web and being in contact with WF support it seems preloaded is supported for C905 after all.
