NOT A SINGLE PERSON on this forum knew when the firmware was to bee released you didnt even know the real name of the firmware you thouhgt until YESTERDAY that it was r1ca038, you are so full of SHIT with your false predictions and insider information!!!!! so bye a crystal ball next time maybe you get luky!!!

Mate, the people here try their best. There is absolutely no reason why someone would lie about something as insignificant as a firmware update on a phone. People say what they hear and sure SOME of it may not end up being true, but it is better than no info whatsoever, and parts WILL be true (and were). Nobody on Esato is an SE software developer, we only get our info from usually reliable sources. It is not likely that anyone here will know an accurate release date for software, we are not Sony Ericsson.

Honestly, go out on the internet and search anywhere else and you won't find a source as good as this for SE phones, and many other things. And don't come here making comments like that. You did absolutely nothing towards providing others with valuable info, so don't blame others for trying. Thats just downright rude.

NOT A SINGLE INFO ABOUT THIS NEW FIRMWARE ON THIS FORUM WAS TRUE MATE!!

Updated the first post with newly discovered fixes & improvements with the new firmware.

Don't forget to contact me with any issues that there may be with the first post, or any additions you would like to see! Remember that I no longer have a K850, so I cannot verify the accuracy of the information in the first post - I just do my best to interpret the posts in this thread.

@1889...hhhhmmmmmm.....are you kidding...its a cell phone...NOT EVEN N82 looks better when you zoom in like that....k850 have easily best details, (Nokia have more vivid colors, but NOT better details).

so STOP think that some cell phone will look perfect when you zoom in ten times (or something).

this "REAL" comparing pics show everything.

But those pics are tiny. They aren't the proper size. Once you look at them full size then they are absolutely awful. The only time you can get a good pic is when it is in macro mode. Now, I don't know about you but on the odd occasion I use my camera, I want to be able to take a good quality pic. I'm yet to get that on the K850. The k800 camera was far better.

I admit the pics are decent when you shrink them but that shouldn't be the case.

IMO, the camera on the K850 is nothing short of rubbish and no-one will convince me otherwise until I myself start getting good pics from it.

I think you'll find that the exact firmware version that was released yesterday was being discussed here last weekend.

The truth is that, prior to this, no one knew; apparently not even SE themselves. The dates flying around were a mixture of fictional dates supplied by Service Centres and speculation.

Show us another site that had more reliable information. You won't be able to, as it didn't exist.

There's no need to be so rude. Everyone here is just trying to help. If you don't find the information useful, you don't have to hang around. I don't think you'll be missed; somehow, I don't think you've got a lot to contribute to this forum.

Sadly I don't see too much improvement in picture quality. So I think I can wait the next update.

@ plank
I agree with you in that thing that K850 can make detailed, and sharp pics, but in document mode. That's why the most of k850 owners aren't satisfied with the pictures. But to be quite frank I think it should take detailed and sharp pictures in auto mode, or twilight landscape, etc. I don't understand why is so different the image processing in other modes. I noticed also that if you increase the colour saturation in photo DJ the colours are looking quite realistic. Why SE don't improve the camera in the way that saharpness to be in all modes like in document mode, and colours to be a bit more saturated, and in this case nobody would complain about purple colours, and sharpness. (I have already taken pictures in dark when people's red eye became purple ) =)) ).

Please everybody, who made the update, post pictures in 100% crop with the R1EA031 version!!!

I total agree with you

When setting the time, with the new firmware, I've noticed that it gives you the option of choosing a city so that it sets your correct time zone. I remeber that in the previous firmwares it only gave you the option to set the time zone by yourself. Do I remember well???
