Got my K750i last week, unbranded and all, installed all the relevant drivers plus the new beta SE update client, fully charged the phone, followed all the steps of the procedure to update from R1N035 to R1AA038..Nada...The thing stuck at the penultimate rectangle with the famiiliar "error executing script, please try again" message.
So far I have tried the following:
1. D/ling the client again, removing app, re-installing app.
2. Master resetting the handset
3. Removing the memory stick and performing the update again
4. Changing the USB port I connect the phone on the pc
It's obvious that upon the update I'm stuck with a half-complete R1AA008 set, since this is the software info:
R1AA008
prgCXC125952_EU_1_CL
R1AA008
LCD SW versions
Main Display
Current: 0
Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 4.5
ITP SW version
CXC 125 932
R1A038
Customization
CDA102337/3 R5A
cxc125953 R1N035
EMEA_3
Content version
PA19
Any ideas?

To get rid of the script error follow these steps.
1-Back up all the data in the Phone Memory (You can copy all to the MS DUO and the contacts to the SIM or use MyPhoneExplorer)
2-Do a Hard Master Reset (Erase ALL the data from the Phone)
3-Using the SEUS II client, update to R1AA008
4-Do another Hard Master Reset
5-Restore the back up you did in the 1st step
That worked for me.

guerrerobers,
I have already lost count of the times I've repeated this procedure...with no real effect.
The data is really irrelevant to me at this present stage, ie. contacts and pictures, I just want the firmware applied in a proper way. Hard resetting the phone does not seem to affect the process of updating in any way, since it always gets stuck at exactly the same point. Would you assume that a local SE service point has more means by which to succesfully bring this to a happy end?
regards

You could try sending your phone to the SE Service Center, if it's in warranty they SHOULD update your phone for free.
SEUS is there for people that don't want to or can't go to a SE Service Center

Just want to know if the signal bar bug is still present with R1AA008?

This is not a bug, the 4 or 5 bars is the signal strength of the "Emerg. Call" Signal. You could be in an area where your mobile network is out of range, but you can still recieve other mobile networks. Therefore, you can still see the bars and can still make an emergency call. Anyways, that's just my thought on it~ Hope it clear things out for you.

Can anyone confirm this bug?
While listening to mp3s and plugging the charger in the handset reboots.
Unbranded K750i R1AA008 EU_1

I just tried it now.
While listening to mp3:
1. if you plug the charger in the handset, a "Optimized Charge" write shows on your phone display, the mp3 continues to play, no reboot;
2. if you plug the USB cable in the handset the mp3 playing, stored in your Memory Stick, it stops, that's because your PC takes the control of your Memory Stick. If the mp3 is stored in the phone, it continues to play, no reboot.
So I do not confirm that bug.
Greetings,
Anger.

Hi Guys,
I have two w800s, one is unbranded and the other is T-Mobile branded. I have just updated the branded handset with the new SEUS software without a problem
When I then tried to update the "sim free" "unbranded" handset it gets to the last bar on the update and "Script Error" pops up, then it says "start over" which I have done five times now with exactly the same result! Strangely enough though the phone itself works perfectly? I have tested most of the features and there doesn't seem to be any problems with the media player, camera or any other apps. Does anyone know whats stopping me from completing the update as I would be happier knowing that the phone has been properly updated. Any Help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan
PS. Both phones are running R1AA008

Hi,
Did you follow the instruction, & procedure exactly? You'v mentioned above you removed the MS Duo how bout the SIM card or you forgot to mention it? Anyway I remember updating my K750i to R1AA008 (from R1N035). The pre updating process was - off the fon, remove bat, remove sim card, relace bat., press hold_C until the fon detected in prep for SEUS II online. I also make sure, just in case, required software was installed like Java version used, FlashM software. etc..although it was not mentioned on the procedure. Right now enjoying my R1AA008 software without those currently mentioned bugs from the new firmware...
