rufin_oliver,

I did indeed remove the sim card...and followed the procedure step by step, hey it's not rocket science afterall, trust me I'm doing it right...could it be that my battery was not completely charged when I first tried the uptade that triggered the issue? AFAIK it was at around 85%-ish...

Hi Guys,

I have two w800s, one is unbranded and the other is T-Mobile branded. I have just updated the branded handset with the new SEUS software without a problem When I then tried to update the "sim free" "unbranded" handset it gets to the last bar on the update and "Script Error" pops up, then it says "start over" which I have done five times now with exactly the same result! Strangely enough though the phone itself works perfectly? I have tested most of the features and there doesn't seem to be any problems with the media player, camera or any other apps. Does anyone know whats stopping me from completing the update as I would be happier knowing that the phone has been properly updated. Any Help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Dan

PS. Both phones are running R1AA008

Hey Martin,

It seems that you're experiencing more or less what I've been facing over the last couple of days. Bear in mind though that the software might have been improperly installed since certain categories of the software info pane appear to refer to previous versions of the firmware (at least in my case), them being the customization and the one before it, which both do not seem to reflect the updated version numbering of a proper installation. I really can't suggest much other than keep trying or perhaps pass the phone over to a local SE service point and ask them to perform an update on your behalf. At least this is the course of action I shall be following in the following days if I fail to update the phone using the SEUS II client.

regards.

Hi!

I updated to R1AA008 in december and got the background noise/cut off signal problem. Saw the SEUS II client was available (norway) and gave it a try. Hm, indeed it updated the phone. I've still got R1AA008 after the update though. Does anybody know if it has been revised? Unfortunately it's too late for me to phone tonight, so I don't know if the bug is fixed.

Jup, didn't scroll all the way down
Still don't know if the noisebug is fixed though. Well, I'll find out in the morning when it is early/late enough to call someone

its very easy, it even has pictures in the step by step guide. just download SEUS II and you'll be fine.

id just recommend a connection quicker than 56k coz that will make u wait 2 hours

Hi,

I had the same problems updating my phone. Everything was working until the last bar and then "script error". I tried multiple times with the same results.

I then did 2 things:
- Free up some memory on the phone (I had a lot of pictures)
- Re-install Macromedia Flash player through IE

I then tried again and it worked. Not sure you have the same problem, but I think the Flash install is what fixed it. It is said to be a pre-req on the SE site and did not realize it was not fully installed on my laptop until I went to the Macromedia site.

Hope this helps.
