Michael, a sucessefull lawsuit would imply alot of people with devices working real bad...yourīs is not, has i recall, like mine, like makbilīs isnīt, we have problems, but not enough
What you all could do is increase even more the number of people posting at the only SE official forum that exist, the place where they just canīt say they donīt see it:

If all the people that post here, posted there instead, in civilized and clear manner, and regularly, like at least me and makbil have been doing, we can actually achieve something more than what we are slowly getting with fw
updates
So people, lets invade SE devs forum for good, and talk with them, because they wonīt be able to ignore us

Honestly, I wish it was that simple. The fact is, the P990 has a very good hardware design and the worst firmware to go with it, together it makes for a crappy phone, but if the firmware were to be made up to par with the hardware, the P990 would be hard to beat on any platform.
So, would I sign up for such a petition, yes I would, if only to force SE to gather up its act and get some competent programmers and a good professional project manager.

For the record I have switched to a Treo 750v. I miss the WIFI but hey the do have mini sd wifi cards nowadays
Enough allready I need continuity. It was fun while it lasted but the P990i is up for sale as soon as I get back from SE.
I still think its a shame, given that I only used the phone for four months. One hell of a phone but useless if its not working.
For the amount of money we all invest in these devices, we should be getting value instead of grief.

anyone know how to install english language on singapore generic? after i upgrade firmare, now i can't use english input, when i download english language to phone, it says that i need to have "sonyericssonP990languageID" software. I have tried to search via google and SE site with no result. Can anyone help?

Congratulations on your decision.
I am going to do the same, I do not understand the amount of money spent on this phone and it cannot do one thing good.
Last week I needed the web and Im plus running simultaneously, for an important meeting with a supplier, and the god damn phone kept killing the apps.
I ended having to use the hotels facilities.
P990 will never be a business phone.
Finally I am going to sell it to some poor soul. RIP SE
Looking forward to a nokia e series.

they describe a R7 behaviour, not a R9 ; i think many ppl have branded p990 and really suffer from the firmware and operator customisation above is probably not helpful at all to make it more stable.
