@Prom1
Just to update my music freezing issues, It occurs with me on both the supplied sony 1gb M2 card, and the 4gb scandisk M2 card i just got. Sony one was formatted from the start, and scandisk didn't seem to require any formatting..
I'm planning a few tests back to back with my trusty old W800, ie swapping cards (i have M2 adaptor), same MP3 files, headphones etc.. but I suspect none of this will reveal anything more than its a firmware issue. Not tried updating my phone, maybe this will be next.
will post any updates as soon as i have any.
cheers Oz

ok, as suspected, tried different headphones, swapped M2 cards between my w760 and w800, and i have to concluded this is indeed a phone problem. W800 played every track faultlessly.. The w760 still stuuttering.. Next plan to try firmware upgrade, then probably back to O2.. complain? get the same handset? i don't know, i love this phone, but only if it works right!!
cheers Oz
ps didn't find sda sdc files on the card..

I'm using an 2GB Sony M2 card and i can honestly say i've had no music freezes with my W760.
Used it faultlessly on my 1 and a half hour journey today.

I really like this phone, more than any other

phone but I think SE needs to push for more designs and more technology in their MID High End tier. THeir decision 3qtrs ago to concentrate on the low end devices for emerging markets is NOT working; as obvious to their recent marketshare decline & revenue decline.
I think around October I'll still get the W760i - maybe; unless the Nokia E66 is within $200CAN retail price of it at that time.

@lunion, is your phone branded? ie O2 or standard firmware?
perhaps this gives a clue if the stuttering is firmware related or not?

@500, thanks mate.. Well i guess i can't blame my carrier for creating this problem with the firmware. So its a sony issue then?!

Just a little update on mine;
like i said since i "updated" the firmware (not new firmware, just reinstalled the original firmware using SEUS) it stops the music freezing randomly, but the phone still seems to randomly reboot itself. Sometimes i know it has happened as it always gives out a little "warning" vibrate just as it reboots. Other times i do not realise it has done it and i can only tell as when it reboots it changes the wallpaper back to the default not a photo which i use.
BUT...
earlier today i "caught" it in the act rebooting, (as i was just about to send a text), and just before it gave out the "warning vibrate" the screen displayed "Error with SIM" for about 5 seconds, which then changed to "Inactive SIM" for a second or so just before it vibrated and shut down.
So I'm wondering if it has something at all to do with my SIM card as it is 2, maybe 3 years old now??
What do you guys think??

@chriswhiteoa
hmmm perhaps its your sim. I wonder if you have a non 3g card, and the phone doesn't like it? Just a thought
