This price is similar to the one predicted in GSMArena. They say 620 euros.

That test is so in vain... on carpet (that absorbs the impact)?
We want a drop test on concrete or hone. I think that glass fill in general is a bad idea.

to compare, AED2165 in equals BHD 268... Xperia arc launched at BHD 249, the BHD 19 difference equals 38Euros so the different is small...
but the history for SE prices here in Bahrain is very bad... The official SE dealer in Bahrain offered the good old W960i for 289, while the non-official one offered it for 239.. that BHD 50 difference equals almost 100 Euro, international prices where closer to the non-official price...

German retailiers already have listed Z under 599,-€ and the price will still fall...
599€ ~ $795
Edit: A onlineshop say he can delivers Z on 21st January (next Monday)! He get the phones from UK!
Could this be right? I think RaMu mentioned that UK get Z first or?

Sony to update the Xperia Z with Android 4.2 JB soon after launch
This was confirmed by a Sony representative, who released the information in a recent Q&A session. When asked whether the Xperia Z will get Android 4.2, he said:
Xperia Z launches on JB 4.1, but will receive 4.2 shortly after launch. As always, we’ll share more info on this over the coming weeks on the blog.

My markets in China are already listing Xperia Z on their websites. with a price of 4300 RMB (~£430). On seeing that I think my plans today may just change to include a visit to the market...

It might not be that cheap. There are a lot of price rumors about Z in China. But no official announcement yet. According to some inside resources, the price would be lower than HTC butterfly. A reasonable price expectation would be RMB 4,600-4,700 (Euro 46-0470) including the dock and EX 300.
The release date could be near, about week 8. Compared to the release plan before, it's much faster this time. Nevertherless, it will be selling much better if it is launched before Chinese New Year (Feb. 9).
