Why would a T650 kill a K700?
1. 1.3 MP vs. VGA
2. MS Duo vs. built-in 32 MB
Why would a T650 kill a S700? (Keeping in mind that both have 1.3MP, MS Duo and the same interface)
1. T650 is smaller
2. Readily available keypad (no hassle of rotating the keypad)
3. more affordable than S700
S700’s advantage over T650 would only be the QVGA screen and most people would be able to overlook that part based on T650’s advantages.
I don’t think
would like to s***w themselves that way.

Cost in my view is a BIG reason why it doesn't compete with the K700. For the 1.3MP cam, and MS Duo, the phone will be 1. Larger due to the MS Duo support and 2. a lot more expensive!
If Eldar is correct, the T650 will launch in Sept, so the K700 will be on the market nearly 3 months, and as such the price will have dropped. I can see USD200 at least difference between the phones.
Having more models on the market hasn't done too much damage to Nokia's selling, and I for one am all in favour of more from SE.

According to the white paper the phone supports both Stereo and Mono MP3, and comes with a Stereo headset. So I would take that as a yes.

Damn it, I really hate to say this, but the K700, apart from a much better looking phone, is no match for the stupid NK 6230 (this phone looks ugly to me). I had always loved Ericsson/Sony Ericsson due to their technological advantages when compared to NK, but this time round, seems like if the T650 is never really gonna materialised, SE will loose a lot of their K700 sales to the 6230, simply because the 6230 has almost all the features of the S700, only apart from a lower end VGA Camera as compared to S700's 1.3 mega pixel. I really hoped SE sales guys and engineers are here in esato to see this post, and make the T650 a reality and kick some NK ass.

To me the add in card isn't so important. It IS important for mp3/aac playback, but I use an iPod for that. Unless the phone gives me 15GBs, I ain't changing over
Screen on the nokia is too small for my preference, but each to his own.

Actually, I only came to know about 6230's features yesterday, cos I always dislike NK's design and was always never interested in knowing their features cos SE is always 1 or 2 steps ahead of them. The point is, no matter how bad the NK looks, it's a brand that all mobile phone users will know, and it is so easy for sales guys to sell this phone to the mass market just by telling them, "Look, it's got MMC card holder and this mean you can put in 256MB of MMC card and use it to replace your MP3 player". Voila, people will definitely buy it
Just look at 6600's sales number everywhere, and even though it's only in plain stupid mono sound, people still buy it cos the selling point is there, 256MB MMC card
