You have to put out so many fires and it'll tell you when its complete.

If i remember right (i havent played Vice City for almost 18 months) you have to put out something like 30 fires in a row without stopping in the time limit.

For every 5 or so you put out, you get another fire level.

Personally, in a nostalgic sense, GTA:III is my favourite, because it had this abslolutely incredible WOW factor, because it really was the first true adventure/action game.

I found it amazing, and I still play on it today, although obviously I prefer san andreas now.....

My List of Favourite GTA's goes:

GTA:SA
GTA:III
GTA:VC

Purely, because, GTA:SA is huge, and I love just cruising around the long freeways, on (no pun intended), a freeway...

GTA:III because its modern day, and I love NYC.

VC I simply dislike, because its far to happy, and also, I think that it was boring compared to GTA:III because it was all flat, with the occasional lump in the road.

Anyway,

i just love the gta 3 setting. its by far the best. if gta 3 was as big as san andreas and had better cars then it would be my favourite game. i like driving around san andreas but i hate it when the cars go crazy and go really fast and fook up your car (crash into you). really hate that! i would also say i like: SA, gta3, vice city. in that order,

I see, sorry about jumping the gun.

I have to agree, i loved Liberty City. Because it was the first city in GTA "3D". I hated VC really, although it was a good game it quickly got boring because of the lack of hills - every road looked the same. Plus i think that VC was too small and the annoying 80's music just piddled me off.

SA is my favourite
GTA3 - second
VC - last

Personally i dont play GTA3 anymore. As i was finishing the game back in December 2001 i and my family went through a very tragic time of our lives. Everytime i see GTA3, hear the music from the game or play it again it brings back bad memories, so i tend not to play it anymore.

Some GTA News,for Ps2 and Ps3...

Rockstar prepares for next-gen

Rockstar San Diego, a development studio under Rockstar Games, is preparing itself for the next generation of consoles.

Over at the job listings page at the Rockstar San Diego Website three jobs in particular address the "next-generation". The listings are for an audio programmer, graphics programmer and a senior animation programmer.

Rockstar Games develops the Grand Theft Auto series, and their latest console release, San Andreas, is arguably one of the most in-depth and satisfying games on the PlayStation 2.

No doubt, they will be back for PlayStation 3. With the power of Sony's next-generation console, and the capacity of Blu-ray, who knows what Rockstar will do next?

PSM UK: GTA4 a PS3 Exclusive

The UK edition of PSM has run an article that claims the next Grand Theft Auto game will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, to be unveiled at E3 2006.

Rockstar, the creators of the popular GTA series that first debuted in 3D on PlayStation 2, release a new Grand Theft Auto game every two years. San Andreas was released in 2004, and so this year we should see the arrival of a brand new GTA.

The US edition of PSM recently asked Sam Houser, Rockstar President, about an online iteration of GTA. Houser referenced Everquest, a popular RPG for PC. It seems Rockstar wants to do more than just deathmatches:

"With PS3, it looks as if it might be time for interactive entertainment to become the world's dominant artistic medium."

Apparently, GTA4 will be set in Europe, or in a "world" with six cities, and will be available as a UK launch title for PS3 in 2006.

However, whilst all of this information is exciting, it is questionable. Rockstar recently announced that Liberty City Stories, which was released for PSP in October last year, will be making its way to PlayStation 2 this year. This could account for the "one game every two years" theory.

Hopefully Rockstar will reveal official details in the coming months.
