clarification T68mc is not T68ie

a T68mc (non-MMS) cannot be upgraded/converted to T68ie (MMS)

a "real" T68ie can have upgrades, just like real T68i

malinaw?

I see. Thanks for the clarification. I am sure in the future magiging available din ang conversion ng mc to ie. Btw yung mga t68mc sa greenhlls mms capable na at r2e na rin, mauutak talaga mga tindera dun This post was posted from a T68i

not likely. the upgrades would probably still specific to the ie model (the same that users from sg or hk gets - kaya may chinese character support pa din.)

@flaminglips @arnoldc @gowin and others:

thanks for the clarification. i called up smartnet awile ago (after lunch) and inquired about the t68ie fw update (not the conversion) and the lady who answered said that they do not have. unfortunately i wasn't able to speak with sir G_M. i do hope he replies to this thread re this matter.

*baka kasi nung lumipat na sila sa makati, naiwan yung update dun sa ortigas..hehehe*

@casperr, the T68mc units with MMS sa greenhills came from chinese markets (singapore, hong kong, china) hindi sila ang nag upgrade nun kundi binili nila nang ganun na.

Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that the "ie" or "mc" even when upgraded still retains the text size inconsistency which I bothers me a lot.
