^ they are using their own criteria so from that perspective the results are in fact legit..
Now, when it comes to real world performance and IQ the results from their tests don't hold any value at all.

Having played with my father-in-laws new Surface Pro, I am seriously disappointed to not hear more about a productive 12 incher. I may be looking at a Samsung or, god forbid, iPad Pro..
Why not just get a Surface Pro or Surface Book. They are the best at what they do.
If Sony were still in PC hardware, I'm sure they could compete, but they aren't so......

Well I know it is very experimen but Vaio Z Canvas looks great. If I can get my budget right, I might consider it. Moreover, last year there was word about Z Ultra Tablet. I don't know if they are working on it though.

@Ricky D
The Surface is awesome and so much more productive than any Android or iPad could ever be. My only gripe is that it doesn't sit nicely on your lap, I have a Dell which is great but I'd probably get an XPS 13 with the thin bezels next. Having a powerful os like Windows is what makes it brilliant, all other tablets are good for surfing.

I really hope that someone can make a 10 inch hybrid tablet/PC with windows 10 that run on Intel i5 or i7. I want a full pledge pc that can run extreme PC application but at the size of 10 inch tablet and reasonable thickness (maybe tad thicker than Vaio tap 11).
I know about the processor and heating issue in that small form factor but I was hoping that Sony Engineering capability can nail it. Unfortunately, they are not making VAIO anymore. If not, I think they can do this.

Well, Why don't Sony just release a compact and Ultra flagships where there are no real competitors? If analyzed correctly low volume production and a sweet price tag could work. No need to take on s or note series. Go for the underdogs.
Kind of sounds profitable to me.
P.S. Don't get angry

To be honest, Lucky Goldstar is currently far more innovative in their mobile department than any other manufacturers, which makes me very sad. Considering how every other Sony departments are doing very well in innovation, e.g. A7rII/NWZ-ZX2, and even Bravia. It seems Sony mobile is just not putting in as much effort. Maybe what Hikari wanted to do is to absorb Sony Mobile into Sony corporation, just the opposite to what the imaging sensor did. This way, the mobile division can really use the resources of other department and create something impressive.

the realize mid range is where the phablet belong, since they got the C5 ultra.

They should have gone Hoo! 6 inch phones are on the rise. Let's make a flagship phablet too, but they didn't. Typical Sony.
