Sorry to say that I wont be bothering with the C905.

The 2 issues that make it a no go for me are no torch ( AGAIN! ) & its a slider.

Looks like the old K750I will be staying in my pocket for a while longer yet.

It not too hard to switch to video mode and turn the video light on..and use it as a torch...

Its still a long winded way around just to get the led to light up to use as a torch.

C905 is still a slider.

Someone noticed that focusing often doesn't work upon activating the camera? It takes one or two half-presses of the shutter release button to wake focusing up from sleep.

If you notice, in the top right of the screen the flash symbol flashes. The reason it doesn't focus is because the flash is being charged up.

This is common in all standalone cameras

I was in the same situation, upgrading from my old K750i. I agree about the lack of torch feature as I used it quite a lot before. However, the step up from K750i to the C905 is great functionality wise. You'll get so many other features that have been developed during the last 3.5 years. There are some very silly limitations on the K750i, e.g. you can only store 10 codes and a very limitied number of notes plus only one alarm with simple functionality.... and there are lots more.
I don't regret at all chosing this phone and it's quite easy to get used to the slider function.

Dephanix

That seems reasonable, thanks for, eh...enlightening me! I always believed that flash symbol told me flash was recommended.

I own quite a number of cameras, from 50-s rangefinders to medium formats, SLR and DSLR, but a point and shoot has never been in my posession, I must admit.
