Why no dual led on the Note 4? Very disappointing thay Samsung won't put dual led on their phones, if they aren't gonna put xenon on tben at least put a dual led on instead.

Am I the only one who thinks GN4 and iP6 will be awesome devices? The leaked Note 4 looks amazing, way better than Z3 if you ask me.

Yeah, design-wise the recent leaked N4 really looks great! And its specs, especially the 64 bit Exynos soc makes it more stunning. Although I'm not a fan of Samsung phones (thanks to TouchWiz), I would take this over the Z3! 2k display, 3GB (maybe even 4GB) RAM, 32/64GB ROM, 16MP OIS camera, IP68....
Looking at the amazing phones on the horizon (N4, Alpha, IP6, Nexus 6...) Q4 2014 won't be easy for Sony.

It would seem Sony are still half a cycle behind competitors. The last 18 months of slowed technological advancements have hidden this a bit, but the leap to 64-bit may expose the gap once more.

I think Sony know this which is why they didn't put a brand new design on Z3, juust an tweak. The brand new designs will come with the vastly updated internals.

Just speculation.

People seem to have this sort of belief that dual LED flash is better than a single LED flash. I would say that is not always the case.

It all depends on the output of the LED flash, you can have a single LED that can flash brighter than a dual LED.

I remember one of the old nokia dumbphones that my friend had dual LED flash, but my Hazel back then had a brighter single LED flash.

It's not just about brightness... you can have a single LED with 10W output ( Cree make these, I have three flashlights which uses them, and man these are bright !! and yes only one LED ) but duo to power and heat, you can't use these on mobile phones...

It's about colour accuracy, most white LED are not actually white, they tend to have a little bit blueish accent, and low-K ones have yellowish accent, and also they degrade with time changing the colour temperature also... not to mention the variation between each LED and another which might be small but exists...

dual LED might use two LED's with different colour temperatures to create a more natural colour which will be hard or expensive to make using single LED... not to mention that if the manufacturer want's also they can control the intensity of each LED to change to perfect the scene and to overcome the LED colour temperature degradation over time...
