Yes, this time z3 compact may not be as special as z1c because galaxy alpha will rival it with high end spec in compact body. still, above all sony's problem is themselves - no marketing, no availability and no carrier support.

No, the Compact STILL has no rival. The Gxy alpha was mostly hype.

^ I hope you both are right because i want to see sony going up but look at g alpha spec:
4.7" Super AMOLED HD
Exynos 5433 or Snapdragon 805
2GB RAM
32 GB or 64 GB
premium design
from here:

maybe phone arena is misinformed? i never bother to look for g alpha spec and i'm not interested in buying one.
anyway, i do hope z3c will have an edge with waterproofing, better camera, more premium design and more. from early spec and leaks i would go for z3c without blinking, but its just me.

@goldenface why Hype? The Alpha is a real deal (made official in Russia recently by samsung) and competitor of Z3 Compact and IP6. High-End specs in a "small" body: 4.7" @720p, 2GB RAM, 32/64GB RAM, Exynos 5433 64 Bit-Soc, IP-certification and gimmicks like heart-rate sensor.

So yes, it's the real McCoy.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I can't see anywhere that mentioned the Galaxy Alpha being IP certified?
Edit- my fault, mistaken IP6 for IP certification not the iPhone 6.

Yes you're right I do not see any IP certification in this picture.

Personally I don't like Amoled screens. I think Snap 805 will be less energy efficient due to separate radio chip.
I guess you meant premium materials, I seriously doubt Samsung can properly design a phone (IMO). I think Wave series were designed better than any of their Galaxies.
And as always there is TouchWiz.

I really hope Z4 will come with the new Type-C USB connector as it becomes closer to launch
Main features :-
1- USB 3.1 based
2- can deliver more power
3- small, perfect for mobile and ultra thin devices.
4- the plug can be inserted in both sides, no need to flip the plug to fit..
5- both ends of the cable uses the same plug, not like current cables which uses micro-USB on the mobile side and Type-A on the charger/PC/laptop side
Disadvantage :-
1- Not compatible with any of current USB plugs/connectors
2- devices will need some time to adopt it, I guess we will see some Type-A to Type-C cables to counter this issue
Don't know if it will support the USB 3.1 power delivery feature as it depends on both the cable and connector/plug, the maximum power delivery supported by USB 3.1 specification is 100W (20V @ 5A), more than enough to run and charge your laptop !!
supporting the power delivery will mean that you will be able to charge your laptop with this cable, and the same charger and cable can be used to charge your phone and tablet also..
