i had the same prob. Solution:
1.make a backup of your sms using myphone explorer 1.45
2. delete al sms from tpa folder
3. restore sms using myphone explorer
Even if the sms date was wrong when you backed up your sms when you'll restore them the dates will be o.k.

where can i see my actual firmware file when using FAR? so that i can make backups.

can i also see this inside the SEUS directory on my explorer?

Hello, I'm new here. With FAR I copied camdriver0.dat with version 5.3. But can somebody spell out for me what changes I should make, if I want to increase (or decrease) the jpg % from 85% to lets say 90%. Because 95% gives some errors I heared.

dude...

take one of the first two. One is a Far auto-instaler, and the other is just the zipped Far... both works well...
you will need the dcu plugin.
So, if you have acess to topsony, from there you may download both Far and latest plugin SE_Flash_Plugin_0.5.0.82

The startup logo (the ericsson symbol) that you see when the phone boots (before the startup screen) can be changed by creating a 176x220 image in the folder \\tpa\\preset\\system\\settings. Yep. Go to \\tpa\\preset\\system\\custmenu and delete all the folders that contain the menus you don't want (probably all of them), then delete the cust_menu_data.dat and cust_menu_done_unpacking.dat files

This is about one of the best hacks of the whole thing! Bloody annoying those menus were.

I restarted the computer a view times now - didn't help.

What do you mean with re-installing "usb flash drive"?

I re-installed the usb driver for the DCU-60 cable - didn't help.
I also made a firmware upgrade (actually the firmware was up to date, but I still proceeded) with the latest version, using UpdateService_Inst_2.6.4.9.exe from the Sony Ericsson website.
I also have the latest Sony-Ericsson PC-Suite installed (1.7.10).
I tried SEFP Version 0.5.0.82 and 0.6.0.98.

According to the SEFP logfile, the communicaton with the mobile looks pretty good, until suddenly the error "Failed sending header".
