Which firmware are you refering to and which menus are slow? Mine does take a short while to start up but no change its nothing major and no different from other Sony Ericsson

I suppose that's true, all of my SE's have taken a while to start but this one is a bit of a joke! Anyway I'm running R1DA032, not sure whether to update though.

As for the menus which are slow, it's usually the shortcut key's menu which lags a lot (although only at first - once the menu is up it runs fine, but it's very frustrating)

Well the new firmware everything seems the same really though on the firmware you have there is a fault that happens sometimes like a mirrored screen. Thats not happened on new firmware. Also on new firmware you get new application called Walk Mate. New firmware is fine honest. I seriously dont think this phone lags as bad as some other Sony Ericsson phones though it does sometimes whilst multi tasking and for some reason on new firmware the only thing I noticed is whilst creating playlists it slows down quite worse than before.

Thanks for the heads-up, Bonovox.

I will definintely have to consider this. I agree about the lagging, it was a lot worse on my K800i, but on this phone it just seems to be the initial phase (i.e - opening the menu, then after that it's fine, whereas on my k800 it would freeze sometimes completely in my Inbox)

Out of curiosity, what is this WalkMate app? I've not had any occurences of a mirrored screen but I have had screen flicker occasionally. Also, the camera is s***! 3.2MP like my K800 but not taken one pic yet that isn't blurred - hopefully a new firmware will go someway to sorting this.

Yeah mine sometimes goes slow in messaging and contacts and yes my old K800i was worse. The Walk Mate application calculates how many steps you take in a day. Not very accurate though I find. The main thing about this phone though I have yet to experience any crashes or restarts its good regarding that. My screen did flicker too sometimes like a shimmering on screen though only sometimes but that and the occasional mirrored screen problems are gone now on update. The mirrored screen thing was wierd it was like a double image on screen like a mirrored effect and with 4 menus or wallpapers. It was only corrected by turning off and back on. Pavoo where are you from? I believe it does differ from different countries but im sure yours will be soon. I am not very experienced regarding knowing anything about CDA? Sorry.

My back cover is seriously starting to creak and move about have put small piece of blue tack underneath the battery door to make it more sturdy. It works but makes it then harder to get the bloody thing off
