@S4k1s WIN!
Toney, how about chilling. We all know You like Your DHD, it's a good phone, but really, You say some quality bullshit here. DHD has shitty camera, it's a fact. The face recognition stuff i already read twice from You is a function X10 also have, ya really... And guess what, it's useless anyway

I keep GPS and Sync on, i have BBC News, Facebook and Twitter refreshing every 2hours and WhatsApp running all day and still get just over a full day with my X10, so i'm sure the Arc will be even better, i see no point in turning them off as this is what Android is about, why should you have to always have to turn things on and off just to get decent batt life? It ruins the experience, i'm not always looking at my phone, but when i do its good to have the info/news waiting there instead having to go turn Sync on for example. My weather widget uses GPS and its very handy for when i'm out, Twitter also uses my GPS.
The Arc should be even better, reading through many reviews the X10 still seems to be the best Android in Camera and Battery Life in Android, until the Arc comes. I was very close to getting a DesireHD from Dubai in December, unfortunetly most places didnt have it in stock, that seems to have been a blessing in disguise after reading through XDA and seeing just how much you have to do to get decent batt life.
Toney
Im glad you've found a device that suits you, but why do you have to go around the forum repeating the same thing? It's almost as if you are unsure if you have made the right decision and so you are trying to convince yourself, is that realy the case here? The DesireHD is an awesome machine, we know that, but it's not going to suit all of us, having the latest updates and specs to boast in forums seems to be your main priority when choosing a phone, if having those makes you so happy then we're happy for you, but to be honest not all of us give a damn.

+1 to you too Tsepz_GP
Any way, Have you guys seen the preview on Phonearena?
http://www.phonearena.com/rev[....]sson-Xperia-arc-Preview_id2638
Pretty good preview, with some nice pics. They seem to like it a lot.
I especially liked this bit:
"We had the “Midnight Blue” version, which is so dark that it seems almost black, if it wasn't for the nice gradients on the back cover. There is also a “Misty Silver” version, which looks even more stunning. The whole design is made of quality plastic, which some sniff at, but with a 4.2” screen we'd rather keep the weight under control than ask for metallic elements, which will make the phone bulkier and more unwieldy to handle (cough, HTC Desire HD, cough)."

More photos from arc

Rather boring scenes but the photos looks quite good, except the red tint which cant be that much of a problem to get rid of.

That is very true where is the fun in turning everything off and your screen down to minimum brightness. It makes it all pointless then. One thing i do not see the point of is weather widgets. You just gotta look out the window to know the weather and they are not very accurate. Even updateted once my weather widget showed sunshine at 10pm
and that was refreshed.

I LOVE THIS PHONE! I really love this phone!
Three years later SE lures me back. I'm definitely getting this without a shadow of doubt. Then I expect SE to give me my P1 successor later this year.
This phone is so perfect for me.
I love it!!!

the Time/weather widget i use is quite accurate, i live in Johannesburg and during summer (right now) we get a lot of rain, some days start off without a cloud in the sky and by 3pm there is a huge thunderstorm, other days begin with rain, overcast and cool, then by the afternoon its sunny and realy humid so the weather widget comes in handy.

I really want to return to SE world and this Arc is very attractive but:
-SE need to make it rootable
-When rooted XDA devs will produce custom roms
-Be ready for OS updates
So in other words the complete opposite in terms of software to x10, or I will stick to HTC
