pls help me!! i'm so frustrated that i'm about to pull out all my hair pretty soon....

the specs: win 98, msi bt 6967, driver version: xxxx.4, t68i

when i installed everything (driver, package4, christersson's sendfile, SE image editor) the second time around, everything worked. i was able to send files from pc to phone (ringtone, theme, pictures) using sendfile. i was able to synchronize contacts with phone using xtnd. i was able to send text using pbtm. i think the problem started when i was trying to send pictures using SE mypictures the following day. it could not detect the phone. then all the other software which i installed could not detect my phone! i even tried pulling out the msi bt out and putting it back it in and it still would not work.

i uninstalled and reinstalled the software, but to no avail. i even tried fma, but someone from another thread told me that fma doesn't work with bt and win98. hwaaaaahhhh!!!!!

i've read and re-read this thread, even printed some parts so that i can really study it. i'm really losing hope

i'm about to download the tecom driver xxx.15 version. would it help me at all?

please, please, please, i'm begging you, please help me!

@nice eyes
BT and FMA works in windows 98. You may have misunderstood the post, coz in win98 you got to use the "serial port" connection instead of "native bluetooth" support (for XP).

take it one at a time. concentrate on making bluetooth work first before adding more programs. so install the msi software, then try it with FMA (easier to tweak and diagnose compared to MPM).

i assure you, MSI6967 works with win98 (i've used it before). If you got any more problems, just search. If you don't find it, post it (and try to be specific).

good luck

Have any of you tried the MSI BT 6967 with a Nokia 6310i? A friend can't seem to connect his 6310 with the 6967.

@JGL
honestly, and no offense meant, nokia's implementation sucks! well, at least that was my experience with the 8850, and the 7650. I eventually made it work, but had a difficult time configuring them.

Tnx GOWin. But you were able to make it work with the Nokia Suite right? Could you describe briefly how. What about N6310i suite, do you think it works w/ it too?

Anyone tried these yet?
I got it all working but now i can only send files, any other software (pccontrol, XTND, cannot connect anymore) looks like the same prob as "nice eyes"....(but with winXP)

@all8

what's different with new driver (ver7)? does it support transfer of files from fone to pc? i was successful at making tecom ver16 work (yehey!!!), so if msi ver7 can't do the job, i'd rather not take the chance of installing this new driver.

thanks.

Everything works for me now, including sending pictures FROM the phone TO the PC.

Do what it tells you when installing though; restart when prompted. That's the only problem I had - ignoring what it told me.

Oh and synchronisation with Outlook via the Bluetooth Places options works fine, and I've never been able to synchronise the T68 using any software at all before so I'm very happy about that.
