I think this slight yellow tinting is simply because of screen calibration, if apps can fix it then it is definitely just software calibration, not a hardware problem. My Go also appears a little bit yellow and I think this is because Sony opted for warm color tone instead of cool color tone, warm color tone is easier on the eyes but also has that very slight yellow hue. Warm color tone is actually even present on my old

Hazel.
If the screen has light bleed or unusual line like the one Vikeviki had then that is a hardware fault, most probably the screen was not precisely placed on Vike's Z1.
i have the light bleeds and the problem of Vikeviki and dead pixels, i'm enjoying the phone still though..
i'm going to give it for screen replacement after the holidays.
for other news, today i got an update for the movie app and an update for the video unlimited app.
i also got today in the xperia privilege app the movie Elysium.
I have got the updates to Movies app and Video Unlimited App but not the Elysium movie in Privelege app, only the 5 free movies and 10 games.

any report so far from XDa that the 4.3 for Z got any camera improvement beside Z1 UI? According to ZOMG earlier, he said there was suppose to be new compression mode for jpeg.

I've got the Z1 and 1020 here but one has to go, have to say though the 1020 camera wipes the floor with the Z1, the 3x zoom is much better than the Z1's clear zoom and the Z1 has no lossless zoom in video either where as the 1020 has 4x in 720p and 6x in 1080p, maybe Sony could put these features into the Z2?
But I'm not very keen on Windows Phone, I do have a Nexus 7 tablet so I'd still have Android even if I got rid of the Z1 but I don't know which one to keep right now.
Also, the Z1 is massive for a 5" phone, it's heavy and big, probably almost as big as the note and a lot better than the S4.

Personally I'd keep the Nokia. Better camera and the OS although still quite limited does the job. Also as well as the better camera and the new Nokia Black update coming soon will further improve images. If you can live with Android on your tablet then keep the Nokia. The Nokia can still browse the internet, call and text and also has new apps now like Flip board and Instagram too if that's what you want as well. The Sony is an OK camera doesn't have the potential that it could have done but it is fast and smooth. Happy choosing

Just such a shame that it seems Sony yet again failed to deliver, the quality of the pics on the z1 don't seem much better than the z, the processing again is not very good, it ruins the pictures, you can't make out a lot of details because of it, it seems to smudge everything and the 3x zoom doesn't compare to the 1020's!
If you put a qx10 on it then obviously you'd get much better pics but why should you have to do that?

Ok after Christmas this habdset is going back to sony.
I hope they will give me a new one instead of trying to repair it ( screen + back)

I think I would absolutely stay with Z1 because of the OS. WindowsPhone which I've used as well
is quite boring, limited and annoying at times. There are many things you can't control there.. And it's ugly.
As for the camera, well - I believe with every today's flagsip you can take great shots. I don't thing beeing obsessed with the "best" camera makes any sense. I have Z for almost a year and I still manage to make great shots in almost every conditions. And Z1's camera is in top cameras range on the market.
