Ok bit of a sticky here...
I recently upgraded my phone to R1N035 using SEUS and everything is fine. But I now need to upgrade to R1AA008. I've tryed to upgrade like I did before and it seems to do it but when it has finished I check the software version and it is still R1N035. I have the latest SEUS (i think) on the installation package it says 2.2.11b but once installed the program itself says 2.2.12.2 ....huh? My phone still works perfectly but I was just wanting to get the newest stuff.
Any help would be great!

@ faultymonkey
1.The install package you have is 2.2.11b, but the program automaticly updates it's self to the latest version on launching it. (currently 2.2.12.2). SE have just not updated all the links on there site (selecting different phone models shows different software versions)
2. The program no longer tells you if you have the current firmware version. It will just download the one you already have and install it again if no newer one is available.

Use Davinci team's client to check the color of your phone... if it is Brown SEUS will NOT upgrade it and you'll have to use DaVinci to flash and/or change you CID.
checking with davinci, mine is red ... . still confused

I know that SEUS will update to my CDA but, what I meant is if I can CHECK for the files downloaded before it flashes them. That's why I asked if there is a pause between downloading and flashing where I would have to re-plug the phones, so I could go and check the files for their version. This is cause I don't want to go from R1L... to R1N... instead I'd like to go to R!A..
Easy question...
checking files to be downloaded before flashing? hhmm no SEUS version does that.. i think... cause its an update service.. meaning always fore... going forward or upward wutevah... meaning no downgrade.
the thing you are suggesting is like the one in Davinci or any other third party remote flasher servers. yea i guess its a good suggestion... just to let consumers make their own decision on what to do with their phones. atleast they have an option to go back just incase they wont love the newer versions available for them..
and then i guess SE would say... try our shops.. theyll give you that service... wot do you think?!

I believe you didn't quite get Dan_Akroyd's post.
The old SEUS I first downloaded the update files into a folder in de SEUS directory (on the local hard drive) before flashing.
If you opened the folder you could see (by means of decomposition of the filename) whet FW-version was going to be installed, even before flashing began (and thus you could interupt when wanted).
SEUS II probably still downloads before flashing (logically) but the destination folder is unknown (or the files are encrypted).

and Dan also pointed out that if ever he wanted to downgrade... didnt he?
so i just answered that point... the question is pretty simple and i think i got that straight enuff...
so i thought he was suggesting sumthin...

you could downgrade with the old version by replacing the file it had downloaded withsome old ones you had saved yourself with a previous update just before the flashing sequence started.
With SEUSII there is no pause between downloading and flashing so the opertuanty to swap any files you find has gone.

Well... finally someone got me, I wasn't talking chinese here!
I didn't imply to downgrade... in fact, I thought that swapping files as you said to downgrade didn't work... was that working in SEUS I?
