im taking the original off and putting the clearcoat on. why? well, from what I can tell, it seems the clearcoat is much more fingerprint resistant than the original sp. and i don't need/want an extra layer over the screen. so off with the original!

SO...

I just put on my ClearCoat shield. First of all, the clearcoat stuff isn't cut as perfect as I would have liked. They are a tiny bit off on the front screen protector. On the back, they are a tiny bit off around the edges as well, and the area around the camera and LED light is just a big gaping hole instead of intricate cutouts. Would have liked the latter... In addition, there is no protection for the sides and the top. To be fair, they do include a small cutout for the one side that does not have the volume rocker, but I opted not to put it on since it would just be additional edges to collect dirt and what good is having only one side protected? My main concern is the back anyhow...

In any case, installation was VERY easy and took me all of 10 mins. The material is wonderful and is EXTREMELY finger print resistant. what normally gave me smudges and fingerprints ALL over the original SP, gives me absolutely nothing on the clearcoat. I'm very happy with it. The main reason I wanted it was to protect the back and for the most part, it does it's job. The added finger print resistance on the front is a definitely plus for me as well.

All in All, I give clearcoat 4 out of 5 stars... would have been 5 stars had it been cut perfectly and had side/top protection as well. I highly recommend it though for those looking to reduce fingerprints!

Hmm... their database seems to be down as I can't get listings for any of their products.

For anyone who has one, how is the Martin Fields screen protector for fingerprints in comparison to the stock screen? If I could get a screen protector to replace the stock that provides good protection and far better smudge-proofing it would be ideal.

Looks like it's down. I highly recommend the clearcoat for protection and smudge/fingerprint. i was messing with it earlier just trying to get smudges and fingerprints on it! initially i could see SOMETHING.. but after about a minute, it had all faded away and i have a clear screen again. simply amazing.

don't know about the martinfields one, but i heard that it has terrible glare?

not glare, but certainly fingerprints and it's quite "thick" but does fit the front
very well. The invisible shield on the back does a grand jobs too
