I said the WP tiles they are animated they flip,turn and update with info all the time with notifications and move up & down too. The Android icons they don't MOVE!! Crying out loud All this started just because I said my view on Northmonkey's question on what phone he should keep. All I did was say what I think which I would keep & I said I love both OS's but then I get hurled with abuse. It's not me trolling or with any issues it's you guys who get so defensive and upset if anyone dares to challenge your views. Stupid

I entered the discussion when you took out dumb point about static and ugly os... I do not said a word when you answered Northmonkey because it was just an opinion to a friend...

For me it ends here.. Really! I'm fed up of this half assed argument...

Sony should remove these shatter proof sheets & think of something else. They should not put the logo on the sheet & I also wish Sony would use some form of oleophobic coating as all their phones always get sticky on the screens too easily compared to others I have used i.e Nokia,Samsung,HTC

To be honest when my Z1 get a bit grubby from finger marks, dirt and so on I just give it a wash under the tap with the dishes lol

Now that is the beauty of being water proof Anyway I wasn't Sony bashing before I stated my points about what I would choose. And that I wish Sony didn't use the shatter proof sheets as they mark and scratch easily even when I was careful. I have never used screen protectors on any other phone & never scratched any other phone without one. I use and still now prefer Android these days but I also said I still think WP8 looks more elegant than Android. Don't get why everyone has to jump on me @CrownedAkuma I never called you stupid just all this arguing

We need to respect others opinions, so long as their not offensive to others or spread ignorance or arrogance.

Next: with threads over 500 posts it is very difficult not to have a thread derail from time to time, that is part of the conversation and soon enough it'll return to the topic at hand. Forcing it or calling names isn't going to help anyone - I've done this many times before in the past 11yrs on these boards.

Trolls: should you suspect a troll maybe 1, or 3ppl is all that is necessary to call them out, but the best policy if it continues is "don't deed the trolls!" and simply use the reporting function per everyone's post to isolate whom you think is a troll that is disrupting the community, not just the thread. Not feeding them takes their energy away from them showing them that their Co to used attempts are futile. Untimely let the Mods deal with them!!

Back on topic:

Z1 is truly arguably the BEST android phone to come from Sony or SE bar none: dust water resistance, quality cpu, excellent speaker the best this side of HTC One to be honest, and excellent frame. Excellent innovation by Sony to use the lens assets they have and make photography in a whole new mobile paradigm that I hope catches on very well - huge marketing on a global scale is needed!!!!!!!

Major downsides: film on glass for shattering. Common Sony stop trying to reinvent the wheel and pay for licensing to use Corning Gorilla glass that is more than proven against your method. If it's clarity for pixels and images and videos then work with then on a long term goals for Co licensing make yourselves exclusive for major advances for a few months then after solidifying Co licensing and branding market to the competition to heavily reduce costs in your manufacturing and break in new revenue ground!! Sony is but one of 6 major manufacturers for LCD production and design but you still rely on glass!!

I'm other words regarding tablets and smartphones by Sony in the future "get with the F'ing program!" (eloquently said in that HBO Spawn series by The Violator)

It's funny how fast ppl forget that on a drop test the Z1 was the FIRST device to not get the glass broken on a front or back impact...I think it tells alot about the quality of the glass they use, HECK even the Z I had took some heavy falls ( I don't use a case on my devices EVER) and no cracks on it.

It may very well be Gorilla Glass (hope not) or Dragontrail Glass. Too bad it's open for debate and no official statement from SONY on what they use.
