Unless someone introduces something that can beat my Xperia ZL body to screen ratio, not interested.
Didn't the LG G2 and G3 do this already? I thought they had the best body to screen ratio.

Technically you are right, but both are in my view "too big"
G2 is 138,5mm height, ZL is only 131,5mm - sweet spot for me is up to 130mm
G3 even bigger.
I want my mobile phone to be still "mobile"...
Screens are 5.2 vs 5.0 - no real difference.
I think between 4.7-5.2 inch screen no real life usage difference.

@hihihans
Sure, but notice you deleted a related line i wrote which was:
galaxy alpha seem like a sad attempt to take sales from iphone 6. i'm glad that sony is not trying to imitate iphone 6.
@maiaramdan
1) not familiar with the details
2) not 100% display to bezel ratio (you must have a place for sensors, calling speaker, etc.) = bezeless, but close to. small bezel has disadvantages. you can't have front firing speakers, it's less comfortable to hold the device, the phone will have to be fatter, etc. what is the most important in terms of actually using a phone is small side bezel. nobody should really care much for big top and bottom bezel in terms of usage = i don't have any prob with z3 design as long as they keep the side bezel slim.
3) people who need a new phone shouldn't base their decision on 805 vs 801. z3 should have its own unique package of features so ranting about no 805 is mostly valid for smartphone fanatics who upgrade their phone every half a year.
4) i can only agree about that.
5) interesting idea, but i think they just need to improve marketing, availability and carrier support and things will get better.
6) i have a feeling z3 won't suffer the same availability issues as z2 had.

More than 2600mAh would be insane good!
Double sided glass with more scratch sounds bad, but I think there's something lost in translation
Z2 already had 3200mAh?!

Have we had confirmation on the screen resolution of the Z3C yet some say 1080p some say 720p ? 1080p would be good for the spec sheet (compared to Alpha @ 720p and IP6 @ 960x1704) but would have negative effect on battery life.
@qqqw the first number if I'm correct is the dust rating and the second number is the water resistant/proof rating
the Z1C and Z2 are already IP58 rated

What huiyi meant by "more scratch, waterproof rating better!" is "better scratch and water resistance". Most likely a higher IP rating as pointed out already.
In Chinese 'scratch resistance' and 'water proofing' are very similar words only replacing the words scratch and water, they can also in Chinese be strung together like they can in English if you use 'scratch and water resistence'.
The double use of 'increased' synonyms ('more' and 'better') is an error thrown by an automated translation service or a ill-practised English speaker.
Both are common errors in Chinese-English translation.

@DexterMoser
Maybe what he means is double-sided glass with more scratch resistant and i think "new development! ! Sony Exclusive battery" means new battery tech like their bio battery or something like that.
I think that is also the reason why Sony can put the same 3200 mAh battery inside a slimmer and more compact body.
@ qqqw
There is 2 possibility with "waterproof rating better"
IPX8 = Protected against water submersion and the depth is specified by manufacturer generally up to 3 m, but Sony only specified the Z2 for 1.5 m of fresh water up to 30 minutes.
So the first posibility is Sony will specified the Z3 for deeper water submersion, longer time or even salt water protection by using marine grade metal/coating.
The another possibility is IPX9K rating for protection against close-range high pressure, high temperature spray downs.

@Felimenta97
Regarding smart watch 3, we will have to see the official specs before condemnation.
I hear that Sony decided to use is own os, due to the fact that Android wear is too power hungry.
Combined with more efficient lighting system for the new screen, power savings should be considerable.
Being water resistant, better battery life compared to most other smart watches and ease of charging through wireless charge puts all necessary need in one package.
The 2 vital questions are, would it be affordable, and would the design be liked?
I am hoping it would boil down to these 2 factors... But knowing Sony, even if they had a killer of a product, restrictions in advertising will let it all down!
