The Mrs has been making sure we don't have more than the usual quota of red meat, so i've stocked up on zero-fat meat like kudu and springbok. The one thing that's a must is potbread, the braai wouldn't be complete without it. Do you guys get mealies on the cob over there, Wanqa? This message was posted from a WAP device

@da wanqsta: What sort of specs does that DVD recorder boast? Just over R700 sounds ridiculous.

@ Kryptik,
Miiiiieeeeellliiieesss!!!!
Yes you can get them occasionally at the local supermarket and usually at the other markets too.The canned variety is in far greater prominence, but not the creamy sweetcorn like in SA.

Talking of all things 'nca', do you ever have 'mosbolletjies?'

@ da brixsta,
Didn't take note of the specs too much as I recently got the Panasonic DVD recorder, but will find out when we go again early next week. It's a Region 2 DVD recorder,so it'll work in SA too...

Guys, does anybody know the code to be entered to transfer credit from one Vodacom number to another? I've been holding for a consultant for the past 20min, need to transfer credit to my nephew's phone. This message was posted from a WAP device

And a Merry Christmas to you too, Kryptik.

Enjoy that braai....you could always extend the duration of the braai/festivities by using some of those logs that you collected as seats/benches as further kindling...

Merry Christmas folks. I just had that massive lunch and soon will be washing it down with a couple of cold ones courtesy of the Dutch.

Probably the best Xmas in ages, weather's been great, neighbours behaved themselves, all in all a lekker day. That great South African tradition, the after-lunch nap, was simply too hard to resist today ;-) This message was posted from a WAP device

@ da brixsta,
Saw this post-Christmas promotion on O2's website and just look at this PAYG deal:
£129.99 gets you a:
1. NEC 411i cellphone on O2 PAYG with 1.3mp camera and Bluetooth,
2. Bluetooth headset and....would you believe this....
3. a Bush DVD recorder!!!!!!!

How's that for approximately R1500?
