So you guys uograding the rom are keeping the p990 then?


Im still unsure on the Tytn and p990 .......dont suppose expansys will accept a return if the firmwares been updated

I plan on keeping mine. I love it so far, and much as I did actually rather like the TyTN, the P990i suits me needs better.

I also suspect Expansys wouldn't actually know or even check whether the firmware had been updated or not...

Doesn't one of the new SE phones have the ability to update firmware wirelessly without the need for a computer? I thought it was the K800 that could do it. I was hoping they would do it for the P990 as well since it would really help out us Mac users.

No sadly the p990i doesnt have this feature but on my W810i and K800i the feature to do over the air updates is there.
Would have been cool if they had put that nifty little feature in the p990i, never know they might include it in a firmware update.
