If this is true, they are slapping the face of those who are waiting for XZ2P also got XZ2c.
Because if there is a H86xx, of course there is the H85 as well.
H84 was expect already.

Looks like the Sony Y design coming to Samsung, we'll have to wait 3 years for the ambient flow cycle to finish before we see the next step for Sony.

Since nobody can buy the XZ2P, its not a big deal because they'll just wait a little longer. The slap in the face comes for the XZ2 owners.

Maybe it's Ultra? We have flagship, Compact and Premium already. There is fair chance for "s" model, but it will be FullHD+ device just like flagship. So I believe that the only device with Premium resolution screen could be Ultra.
Or maybe the tablet? They doesn't have to stay with SGP naming. NonXperia tablets made by Sony were called NBX, SGP were Xperia Z series, so maybe with Tablet X they understood that naming should be more coherent than before?
I would bet on tablet, as they had to change the naming as there were only SGP8XX and SGP9XX left before four digit numbers, which would be same as HXXXX - also four digits.
EDIT: If You ask me for some proof look how Xperia Hello and Touch are named. They are more tablets than phones, but have same name as them.

We all were expecting a replacement of XZ2, it happens every 6 months.
We all though a Anniversary would be real, then many statement came to deny the story.
Less than 2 months between H81 and H86.
But another Compact?

The Y design is identical to the Samsung patent in the way that the corners meet like a Y shape, their patent is probably more to do with the screen attaching at the sides but the end result would be very similar.
Regarding IFA, I'm expecting 3 devices. One is almost certainly the XZ2s or XZ3 but I have no idea about the others. I think the XA3 will be announced later in the year in November perhaps, not at IFA though.
Maybe spektykles can confirm but I think sales for the year so far are going to fall short so they may lower expectations again. XZ2 I feel will sell alright but not the Compact while the Premium is still at zero. On top of this, there is the expectation that companies like Huawei in particular will do very well. This will probably lead to very limited availability of the Premium. The consequence of this is that the XZ2s/XZ3 comes with the dual camera as soon as possible. Knowing how stubborn Sony are, nothing else will change but again they should be wary that they need another big push to 'modernise' their flagships in time for the next MWC.
I would love the XZ3, Compact and Premium to come with a major refresh like how the XZ came after the X Performance but that could be too optimistic. X Performance and XZ internals were very similar but many appreciated the changes that were made to the design like using alkeleido metal which seems to have sadly disappeared. I loved my blue XZ.

XZ2s coz there was change in screen with Premium device, same as last year. And I think Plus is the only midranger from the H2 Sony may show.

So this is probably real.
Like someone said here ( spek maybe I dont remember) one device is between L2 and XA2.
Full HD and mediatek cpu.
I dont think the XA2+ exists.
Difference between 5.2 and 5.5 is too little. If they made it 5.7, it would be too close to Ultra.
Even with 5.7" 18:9 it would be probably bigger than xz2, close to Ultra too.
