...in late breaking news...The brixsta wanted to enquire whether those nasty ass Moto's were branded with?
I hate this time of year...as a serious journalist one has to indulge PR poppies who send all sorts of nonsense our way knowing that were dying to fill newspapers with copy.

@ brixsta,
The more current CPW PAYG phones don't seem to have any branding and are unlocked, just as the VS6 and the Moto C139 were. All the UK networks' wap/ gprs settings will be pre-installed and that's about it. Effectively sim-free phones.)

Some of those Expansys goodies certainly aren't badly-priced... Not compared to what some of these Shylocks want nowadays. This message was posted from a WAP device

@dr_thug: Talking of cricket, South Africa seemingly are onto a hiding from the Australians...I couldn't bring myself to watch it this morning, it was just too painful to bare.

@ mikkyroy and dr_thug,
Thank you, and may you guys be well and truly blessed with a fantastic 2006.

@ brix, the cricket is indeed too painful to watch...
It seems the current test will take far too much to rescue...267 runs from the last 4 wickets against the Aussies is almost Mission Impossible.
I wouldn't consider myself a prophet of doom n' gloom, just being realistic.

Ok I might sound nuts but this is the best phone I've ever owned...Not since my Alcatel 511 have derived so much joy from a phone.
The touchscreen is ok although I sometimes still miss the joystick of my K700.

@ brix,
So I take it that the P910's officially reached 'My Precious' status, then.

Yeah, it's taken a couple of weeks but she is now officially "my precious"...it's just that everything about it is so damn smooth...using the stylus is a bit much when you're in the middle of the street.

What I would've liked is backlighting on the P910's keyboard and also the ability to do more things, like for instance surf wap, with the flip closed...I mentioned these things before but they are about my only gripes with the phone, otherwise I'm a happy camper.

Went over to Handango and although some of the apps they're selling there are nice I've got no use for them. Call manager and sms applications are wasted on me...perhaps I'll find a use for them as I go along...I use the phone mostly, calls, texts, for browsing the internet and sending off MMS's to friends and family.

Next up for me is to get the 1Gb MS Pro Duo...sells for about R900 in local store...if you guys see one cheaper just give me a heads up.

Thanks to Shaun Pollock for at least giving the SA total a little more credibility...but that 'dismissal' of Ashwell Prince was a shocker by the umpire.

Oh well, that's life I guess, and I hope it's not sounding like 'sour grapes' too much that, just as in the 1st test,we had noticably more umpiring stuff-ups against us than what Oz did.
I'm also not detracting from the fact that the Aussies played some better cricket at the end of the day; more positive batting for a start... and less dropped catches.

Just my 2c worth...( approx 0.18p, lol!)
