@All: I spent the greater part of the night tinkering with settings on my phone's email client using my yahoo email address. Many people had said it wouldn't work, but based on Aya's assertions that yahoo now offers free pop access on certain sites I forged on, and I'm happy to report that my sleepless night was not in vain.
It worked for me using MTN and my yahoo.co.uk mail address on SE T610. Anyone with this combination can PM me for the settings if they are interested.

Yeah Amby... Yahoo.co.uk gives pop3 but that means I have to create a new account abi? Instead of that, I will look around and see how to do it with my google mail account (which has been suffering from lack of use anyway.)

@all: men! This mtn gprs is just frustratin my life out. Cn ne1 tell me y i keep gettin time out msgs, comm error msgs, & cn't download anythn. Mtn's machine has also refuse 2 send my gprs settings since my fone last went thru a master reset. Cn ne 1 hlp wt a manual config. I'l seriously appreciate ne efforts.

why not go to wap.sonyericsson.com with your phone browser to get the config? If you can't do that, post your MTN number on here and I'll help you to send the settings to your phone (z1010)..
