hybrid 'cause it uses code from W900, hacked to be usable by W800.

oh i see... what other modifications you got on yer phone? are you using just the R1A044 cam driver or the whole FW version?

coz i got R1CA Firmware with R1A044 cam driver. and some modifications of the displaydriver0.dat

try this
- Open the cam shutter, take 2-3 shots.
- Close the shutter.
- Open it again, take shots (do not close the shutter)
- Switch to VID mode.
- Record a vid clip. (20-30 sec will be fine: do not close the shutter yet, try playing the video) ...then
- Close the shutter.
- Then open it again..

my phone atm is a k750i/w800 hybrid, with the audio and the camera driver mod, i didnt have any other mods on it because it crashed a bit,

im just using the R1A044 cam driver because for some reason se doesnt let me update to R1CA0021 stuck with R1BC002

btw what resloution did you use to take the photos? i was using 640*480

tried your "torturetest" and my cam also "crash" at the end as you describe. Meaning, it tuns on and immediately turns off again, when the shutter is being opened.

I think its the bit where you play the video in the end without closing the shutter that makes it behave like this, cause Ive never noticed any problems when just taking pictures or videos and closing the shutter when Im done.

yep... i like torturing these camdrivers.... to see how far it can take me... glad to know that im not the only one havin this dilemma..

i will stick with R1A044 at the moment... had good results for mah eye.
ill just take note of that crashing course...

dude im using the highest resolution available at FINE mode. go ahead try it again... following those latest steps that i gave.. if it didnt crashed (flush back the screen to STANDBY mode) your phone then i will hafta look at firmwares too.

first it did also crashes with my phone, but then i reduced the file by cutting of the information bars in the file, becuz the driver is 42 kb, and the original camdriver file is about 24kb, so when u cut of these information bars ( begins with: // ), and now it doesn't crash..

but there is no problem with it, no crashing......
btw i use R1AA008 with fine n maximum resolution setting.....

Hey Guys ... Where's askd ?? since he went away ... we didn't have any other changes in the Camdriver .... Is it possible to get both this drivers better ?? 2.4 and 3.8 ?? In my opnion those are the best since here !! hummm .. this is a question i'll probably never should answer, 'cos i don't know anything about programing !!! hehehhehe .. Hugs !!
