yep, that'll work even without a firewall.
I always use my firewall to block everything from accessing the internet other than those things that actually need the internet. Internet Explorer, Outlook, need the internet. Word, M3, iTunes, Nero and other stuff just doesn't need internet access. If it's something that only occasionally uses the internet (for example cddb lookup) I set the firewall to "ask" for internet access when it needs it.

try blocking m3.exe in your firewall instead of the site
www.vapulus.com, worked for me.

Another workaround i was given was to add the url to you hosts file with the local loopback as the ip address. M3 worked fine for me after that.
Could someone explain me how to do this.
Since i can't find on how to add programs to windows firewall (winxp pro)
And adding it to Comodo Firewall doesn't work either.
so about the hosts.. adding 127.0.0.1
www.vapalus.com or smth?
Thanks in advance

Everything works fine for me now...
But I have 1 DVD movie (Transformers) and I have like 6 or 7 seperate files.
How can I watch this movie with one single click and not with 6 or 6 clicks?

The firewall blocking thing works by the way
Ive blocked the website as instructed but i still get the same
error message shortly after opening the application.
Any suggestions guys?
I did the router block thing & that did not work - i went into windows (in my case Vista) and directly blocked M3.exe from getting access outbound to the internet.
Start menu -> accesories-> Run->secpol.msc->Security Settings->Windows Firewall...->Outbound Rules->Right Click->New Rule->Program->Next-> "Program path for M3.exe"

im having a problem with m3, I have the last version of the software, and when i first started it up it said i require the Nero AAC encoder, so first of all i tired downloading automaticaly, the result being that once i agreed to the download it all crashed...
so instead i downloaded it from a browser, but I have no idea where on the m3 program i tell it where to look for the NeroDigitalAudio.zip
there's probably a completly obvious button on there asking for the zip directory, but i cant find it.
whats more, after I click "No" on the AAC popup when i open m3 (every time), i get an error popping up saying an Unhandled except has occured in my application. The exact code is this:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
of course i have no idea what its talking about, but i click continue on the popup, and carry on. i put the setting to a k800 phone, and tried to change a wmv video (with no non-english characters in either the name or directory) and exported to the default folder (again with no non-foreign characers). it actually goes through the processing, and converts it accordingly, but there is no file in the folder, or anywhere on my computer for that matter.
but i dont know what is causing the problem. can anyone help?

i've managed to use the program still, though there's always an error message everytime i use it.. i just move the error message to the edge of my monitor and the converting works out just fine..
this is the best SE phone converter for me so far.. i've tried almost all video converters, and this is the only one where the video maintains its aspect ratio.. fills the whole area of my w960i screen without the annoying stretched appearance of the images found on those 3gp videos.. way much better than smartmovie as well!
kudos to M3 and its developers!
