All quiet on the UK front! Blair could be in trouble (again), but he's had these 'bad' weeks before and come up smelling of roses!
@boto - any change in the Czech Republic (that is where you're from, isn't it!

) since joining the EU?

Teflon Tony was apparently thinking about resigning recently, but the Cabinet persuaded him to stay.

No,I am from Slovak republic.As I know Czechs are waiting for new government.Their prime minister has resigned immediately after loosing of his party in EU elections.Coalition parties has been winning in Slovakia. That's difference between Czech and Slovak republic.

No changes we noticed so far. The prices and salaries are the same (as before joining to EU)
I can reporthere for both countries. I am an old federalist and strongly against disintegration of Czechslovakia (as most ppl in Czech and Slovak republic)

I used to live 33 years in Czechoslovakia.

@boto, my apologies!
It seemed to be mostly more right-wing parties that won in the UK, reflecting the majority of the population who don't want a federal Europe, and also didn't want a war in Iraq!
I think a lot of people used the Euro elections as a protest vote against the centre-left (although some would say right!) wing Labour party.

He's called Teflon Tony because no matter how much or what sh1te is thrown at him none of it sticks!
He's got through various parliament votes he's expected to lose, the Hutton report, and various critisisms of him and his government about the Iraq war and still managed to come up smelling of roses!
