Yes it can you can long press the middle button I think that's the mutt tasking button. Also when say in Opera just press the middle home button and go in to main menu and open anything else you wish to use. Opera will still be open unless you force close in app manager or turn the phone on or off. But yes it can multi task

I am reading now. What numpty at Apple said the iPhone 4 screen was scratch proof and finger print resistant?? No touch screen is resistant to finger prints and despite being extra careful with my iPhone I have a teeny tiny mark on my screen. For £510 it's frankly disgusting
If it's scratch resistant and I am careful in the extreme what hope do I have it will last a long time?? Goodnight
