Exactly - it's the photographer who makes pics.
On this level of performance you can do alot. Really alot.
I think comparing is important but creativity is the base.

Hi all. I updated my phone to android 4.3 but i missed out on. 257 update which had camera improvements. Is there anyway i can do that? Also any infor of a Camera update anytime soon?
You don't need to, the latest firmware overwrites a pervious one so the 4.3 release will already have the upgraded camera included in it.

read a post about the white balance at support xperia, the guy from sony said we don't need to install the rip white balance setting, it will be included in the Z1 update for the beginning of 2014 for everyone. He doesn't specify if its 4.3.1, or 4.4 though.

That could kinda proof zomg right, he mentioned the camera improvements come with 4.3.1 in January.
I got hope!

hmm I understand why Sony or vodafone would do this? unless this is where they are testing the 20MP superior auto out? What is more interesting is the file size, 7,17 MB vs 5.xx MB on my manual 20.7MP shots, so perhaps there is a new algorithm? There seems to be more noise though in the 20MP auto, but the better point is the file size, bigger should mean less file compression?
Also would be nice to see HDR in full 20.7MP as well personally.

Are we even going to see 4.3.1 on the Z1, I fail to see the point of it since I thought it was just an update to the nexus 7? I feel an update to 4.4 or 4.4.2 would be the best option.
It took sony 5 months to release 4.3 for the Z1, I'm counting from the date it was released publicly and not to manufacturers since Sony would have received it earlier, but if this is the same case for kitkat, then 4.4 should technically arrive in February for the Z1, technically but not definitively.

Yes, I also think that an direct update to 4.4 would be mor logical and better.
4.3.1 was just mentioned by zomg, so it's just a rumor.

4.3.1 was a bug fix, I think it was due to timing since 2013 Nexus 7 was their new device atm and 4.4 being release so soon so only Nexus 7 got it, the rest just go straight to 4.4. We could get a minor update in early Jan with white balance tool being available for everyone now and maybe the jpeg compression that ZOMG was talking about a long the side. As for the 20 MP auto being more noisy, probably due to high ISO, Sony made the auto mode to snap pics as quick as possible, so their focus seems to be always on speed than quality. My 20 MP manual is normally around 7 MB in size so I think its about right. There's also a guy from XDA that insisting he know whats coming with another major update in Late Feb,
http://forum.xda-developers.c[....]ost.php?p=48599742&postcount=1
HDR in 20 MP mode, not sure what he is trying to say.
