Hi Joel80,
that means that you recommend using nav4all?
It would be a great software because I'm travelling a lot in the world and the software would allow to navigate in almost all countries and this for just a very cheap price in the future.

I bought a GPS-reciver and are using nav4all whitch is a free gps-program. It works pretty well. It downloads maps via GPRS or wifi if you run it close to a hotspot. Some features in the program seems not to be working so well. Dont know if it's because running it on p990 or just bad programming.
the program can be used as a map-program only if you don't have a GPS-reciver.
I need help with something else.. sorry for multiposting this in more then one group.. but after updating fw i can't send mails! please test this anyone that have done the update.

No one got any suggestions then? What do you think they will replace my p910i with and what should I push for? Sounds like p990i seems bit buggy! Can't cope with another 2 years of constant problems like I had with my p910! Is the m600 stable?

Depends on what you are searching for. As a real fast way to get a map of where you are and search adresses and so it's super and cheap. (doesn't cost a thing so far.. the GPS-reciver i bought can be used wirh other softwares too.)
But In Stockholm I have had a few faulty directions... Like left-turns that are forbidden and missing of a changed way thats about 6 months old. (The map is correct and updated.. but the rout that it wants me to take was not right.)
I will use it in Amsterdam in about 2 weeks. Not with car, only as a map and to find my hotell and so on.
Otherwise the GPS-functions are pretty good. A bit to advance meny that could be better...
But the fact that's it's free makes it worth it.

@zeez
The green light in the deskstand is just a LED. There is no chance that the deskstand should suffer from being on all the time (It functions the same as all the standbylights you see on nearly all electronic mains driven equipment)

It's not in the box if thats what you ask. I'm sure you can buy it in stores though. Think it's about 45-50 euros.
I also need to charge my battery once a day... especially if I have used WiFi for a couple of hours.
@zeez
If you have the USB connected to the dock there is no need to have the charger connected. It charges via USB. But maby you don't use the USB?
