I spoke to Vodafone last week about getting an upgrade on my phone to a new SE model. I asked about the K810 and they said it'll be in their warehouses in 2 weeks (from the 16 Apr when called). I also asked about the W580 but on their system they said I'd be waiting till end of Q3/beginning of Q4 before they can get it to me. Does this mean that
are not following the short announcement->release time as a strict rule for their releases? If the lady I spoke to at Vodafone is anything to go by, yes.

Well on the Z750i and W580, SE did say Q3 2007. Some phones came out right away like the W880i and K550i. But others like the W610i took a few months. K810 is coming out about a month after the W610i came out which came out ~2 months after the K550i.

Ricky D as bodeh6 said they don't follow it always - sometimes its due to problems/improvements of the phones,but usually for marketing reasons.I personally think Maria will be announced in Q3(maybe the beginning of Q4) because she is not ready yet and because end of the year is a typical peak buytime for mobile phones.Many people want a new phone for Xmas or the new year and if SE releases the phone in November,lets say,the price for it in end of December will still be high.But thats the time in which people are inclined to spend more money on mobiles.If SE releases it in September for example,its price will have dropped more or less by the end of the year,which will lead to some money losses for SE.

Even if a W999 exists (Whitch I doubt, since the .wap on sony ericsson says "Copy right 2004" for the W999, and the S500, but says "Copyright 2007" for the P700 if you open the page using firefox, so I think they are old or canceled profiles) It wont have a QWERY keypad, for the same reason the W950 didn't have one.

I've been misinformed about the black slider. It IS going to be called S500, and it's codename is Shinobu.

Memory will be at 12 MB free internal, and it uses M2.
Screen: TFT QVGA 262k

EDIT: I remember Sneff saying, that you could be let into thinking that it was going to be named S580 in the end. But for now, it should be S500 afaik.
