Sony wont take the lead just because they introduce a phone with tegra 4 or s800. All the other manufacters are kind in sync with each other regarding chipsets, especially when most of them use snapdragons. The exception here being Sony... As always there will be a new flood of handsets utilizing the latest tech in q3/q4 so Sony wont take any lead on that front. I hope Sony brings other features like improved cameras, not just on paper which is the case with the z/zl, but for real. Something similar to what nokia did with the pureview. Or why not something like the padfone concept which I find really interesting. Since parts like processor, ram etc for a high end phones are near identical for each manufacter why not do something that sets you apart from the rest, something refreshing.

Well I don't think that Samsung couldn't make a FHD amoled then it's impossible
And Sony is the king of diplays I think they can at least make it with over 300 ppi
Not necessary over 400 ppi if u know what I mean
Edit: @XperiaCute exactly thats what I mean u can visit its site to know more about their OLED technology xD

I really don't think cameras on phones can come even close to something like the Sony NEX series and that's when you can say you have a good camera phone imo.

Conflicting reports regarding AU Optronics' OLED production status
Simply put. They are struggling and Sony should not count on them.

I think that specs do matter and providing premium specs in right time is what made Galaxy S series so successful. It's not coincidence that most successful phones (Galaxy & Iphone) are flagships. With Galaxy 4 being so weak that creates a perfect opportunity for Sony to replace Galaxy's status with one of it's phone and engage in a battle with Iphone.
In that case I prefer higher PPI (around 450) over OLED.

I don't know whether it's a good news or bad news, but Walkman is going to live through Xperia now

Sony won't be making Walkman MP3 players anymore. So all Walkman tech will be used in Xperia.
F series walkman is the last ever Sony walkman player

Too bad. I love my Walkman Z. I was hopping they would release a Tegra 4 or 3 model with a 720p screen and on screen buttons with the same no existent skin on as the Z and F.

Sony's announcement this month that it is ending production of the Walkman, its iconic device first launched in 1979 and a testament to Japanese postwar ingenuity, symbolises the passing of an earlier era.
