New about Sony mobile with a deal with Telfonica. They may be looking into Firefox OS

1. Why do you guys worry about ZTE? They sell phones only in China and a few European markets. Also its only an announcement and won't be released before Sony. Plus its only clocked at 1.5ghz. Also these Chinese companies like ZTE, Huawei and Oppo do ZERO optimisation. Their S4 pro phones perform way worse than Xperia Z. So a ZTE phone with s800 will be only slightly faster than the Z.
2. Xperia Z will be upgraded to S600 but not very soon. You should remember Qualcomm is ending S4 pro supply only by May and Sony must have a lot of S4 pro chips ordered. So only when they run out of S4 pro chips will they switch to S600.
3. I don't see how Sony is "behind the times". With S600 Sony is at par with Samsung, HTC and others.
4. Don't go by Nvidia presentation slides. They have been showing such slides showing stunning performance numbers but when actual products with their chips come out, they always disappoint. Be it original Tegra or Tegra 2 or Tegra 3. They were all worst of the bunch. I don't see how T4 will be any different. Not to mention Tegra 4 devices will be as hot as a frying pan and have piss poor battery life.
5. ArnahaHunter, as Dacha said already ZL would be sold unlocked soon. And as ZOMG said, Z is coming to AT&T and ZL is coming to T-Mobile. Somewhere around April.
6. There won't be any 1080p OLED panel phone this year from Sony. 1080p OLED panels are far from ready. Also Sony won't use 720p or lower OLED panels either AFAIK for this year.

As an average consumer I don't care about what crap processors are in there.
So it will not affect Sony's sales number.

Small correction.NO Z for AT&T only for T-Mobile and no carrier deal for ZL.

I'd beg to differ Dacha, from latest info AT&T will sell the Z. ZL will be taken by T-Mobile.
Talks with other carriers are still going on.

Ah well, S4 pro is more than nice enough. Hope the display is calibrated all nicely out of the box
Can't wait! My x10a is pissing me off to no end. Just another month or so to go...
Now the Xperia Tablet Z is official for international launch, I might have to think about this! While I do have my Tablet S, and it's great, the Z just looks so damned sexy! I might try to hold off until the tablet after the Z... whatever that is, or whenever that's to be expected.
