Oh thanks for that tip shyam. Actually I do have NTFS and I cud not install 98 even on a clean hard disk! can i reformat to fat32?

i went to a damn auhorised service center....

i downloaded the firmware from sony website last night but couldnt instll it in my fone....(wats the syncstation that it said i needed if i wanted to get it in my mobile)

they justified that they had to attend to other mobiles that they got for servicing before they attend to my fone......they acted as if their servicing shop was very busy...two guys were there...the senior guy told me all this looking at his computer screen playing tetris and the junior style bhai didnt even know what a firmware upgrade was(must be new to him) .by the way the authorised shop was opened here in december i think.
