@tion: If what they said in that email is true this is indeed really bad news. I don't know yet if I'm under the influence of all the posts concerning hissing in the latest firmware, but I upgraded yesterday and the problem seems to be real. I'll wait to see if it goes on, but if SE said they're not gonna release another update that's not fair on behalf of them.

@tion: Yes, but SE would rather you bought a new phone!

It's not a bad news because before the last firmware, I have send a mail to SE too and they said the same answer but three days after a new firmware came out.
I think we may wait the w810i which may be have the same firmware with the k750/w800

To some extent I think we should count ourselves lucky that SE do update firmware - they must have to pay their software engineers to work on firmware for phones that are already out there and it can't generate any direct income for them. They make their money by selling new phones! Ought to get the firmware right in the first place though.

I woz just kiddin! I cud neva hurt my SE... (cough cough...).
Actually i have tried this, i formatted it to FAT 32 accidentally- i realised i did this then formatted it back to the correct FAT file system. But the problems still remained afterwards (though i was on top of the world cuz the problems at first seemed to have dissapeared- until a few days later). So unfortunately i had to send it back

(i'm stuck with 64MB again for the next 2 weeks!)

if you look at review of w810 at mobile-review, you can read that w810 firmware will be not compatible with k750/w800, because of some hardware changes.

I have a Orange K750i and Tonight it has updated to the latest version.
R1AA008
And Yes this is the CDA / 12
It Now Says on my phone
R1AA008 - Orange_Gen
The Background noise when using phone for phone calls is there are just sounds all the time like you have a bad line. Otherwise everything else works fine

Just tried to update my K750i, and it too has got nearly to the end, then says UPDATE FAILED please go back to the star. This si the second phone that has done this, the other being my daughters Z520. The phone now says it is on
R1AA008
prgCXC1250036_EU_3_CL R1AA008
LCD SW versions
Main Display
Current: 0
Camera
Current: 4.5
ITP SW version
CXC 125 932 R1D
CDA 102338/12 R24A
cxc 125953 R1N035
1EOW
ORANGE_GEN
Content version
PA19
Is this a fault with SEUS, or is this a fault at my end. I notice a few others seem to be having similar problems, so it seems as if it is a SEUS problem. Maybe it is only UK users on Orange that are having the problem, yet my daughters Z520 is sim free, so it should not effect hers. Will have to contact SE and see what they say about it.

Dude what brand MSPD 2Gb stick were u using? Sometimes you'll find that using lesser known or cheaper brands of memory don't work as well as the more expensive, more recognisable brands of memory. This can be seen on digital cameras; the more xpensive, better brands write and store data better, as well as doing it faster.
Maybe this will help if you have any problems with the next card. Or try using a friend's 'more recognisable brand(Sony, SanDisk); MSPD 2Gb stick in the meantime while you're waiting for yours to come back.
