@WhyBe At least you are consistent. This phone got announced in Feb. In March I got lambasted by a few nerds in here when I made the suggestion - We won't see the device till November in 'up market' countries and Christmas everywhere als. And only by next year will it run as advertised (first Q if we are lucky but I doubt that now after SE had to dismiss so many people involved in R&D). Can you point out exactly where this device is so much better then the competition? ‘Read my lips’ once again - If SE don't sort the crap out by Apr. 2009, S60 touch-screen will run circles around it. Not only spec wise but in sales too

Why are you still peddling this? nothing "bows down" to the X1, it's just another version of the same platform found in at least three of the other phones you mentioned above (even the G1 is very similar hardware). If it's the one you prefer, and you can actually get hold of one this year, that's great - but please stop placing it on this silly pedastal and hyping it up, you're only going to disappoint yourself and others.

Just had news from O2. They have told me that the X1 is being delayed further to the week commencing the 20th of October. This is quite a
reliable source as the company I work for spends a lot of money with O2 and we have dedicated Account Executive that we call for upgrades/account queries etc….

I phoned O2 and she said "Oh yeah, the X1, that's out".
So she then checked and said that it would be out week commencing 13 October.
I said. "So you're getting it on Monday?" And she said "No, we'll get it week commencing Monday but we can't release prices until we actually get it in stock".
Waaaa.
