They are different photos. Look at the fingers position at top right. Hope the upcoming upgrade improve imaging processing algorithm even better!

I no longer believe in this "upcoming" algorithm update. This talk was on way before the the announcement of the Xperia Z1. Even the preproduction shots were better than today's latest firmware. Did Sony lose the sense for quality or what?

As you can see on my wall charger, the output states 1500 mA. Since Z1 has 3000 mAh, it will only take 2 hours and more to fully charge the unit. The USB cable included with the wall charger not limits the amount of current passing (which is contradicting on the link you include, which is only 500 mA). Yes, the standard for USB charging is 500 mA but it also depends on the wall charger's output current, as well as the how much current the cable can handle.

For the magnetic cable charging, it should carry the 1500 mA current coming from the charger to be rapidly charged. I just don't know how non-Sony cables and chargers work on with the phones.

mate the rate of charge is limited by the phone - the wall charger may also have a limiter on it to stop it going on fire - the data pins are shorted on the charger to tell the phone it is safe to draw 1.5amps - other things can limit current like the weakest link for example a fuse

If the 2x data pins on the 1.5amp Sony mains charger were not shorted the phone would only draw 0,5amps even though the charger is rated at 1.5amps, now how the magnetic port knows that the data pins are shorted I can't answer because only 2x pins are connected to the phone - I suspect the data pins are involved in some way but not sure of the specifics, but what ever it is it has not been included on the magnetic connector mentioned above and therefore the phone is limiting the charge rate to 0.5amps

I dont believe it either, especially since the updates seem to be generic to both the ultra and the z1. Of course that could change with future updates but im skeptic. Still, im enjoying my Z1 very much and I think the photo quality is more than acceptable.

HO HO HO HO...

merrrrrrrrrrrrrrry xperia-mas..

I agree with what others have said. Until there is a Z1 only update, we can't expect any camera improvements. If i recall correctly, the rumor said we'd see the algorithm update in january? I'll give it til end of january before i lose all hope

That being said, while the image quality isn't perfect and I think it hasn't lived up to its hardware potential, i'm happy.. for now...
