I'm sorry, this is off-topic, but if only they can improve the camera algorithms of XA2 series, it could easily get a solid 85.

I also did some math with eprice's data for 1H 2018's best camera, tested with a blind test and it turns out that XZ2 is the winner, based on the average percentage for each tests (or overall performance, if you prefer). Here's what I found, sorted from the best to the worst:
1. Xperia XZ2 - 16.74%
2. Zenfone 5Z - 16.33%
3. P20 Pro - 16.29%
4. Mi Mix 2S - 14.67%
5. G7 ThinQ - 12.44%
6. R15 Pro - 8.25%
7. Galaxy S9+ - 7.81%
8. U12+ - 7.47%

Well DXO admitted that they give preference to companies that pay them so I'd say forget about them. The truth is that finally the XZ2 is up to the reviewer standards and this is the concensus among the big websites. Tick the box. Dual camera coming. Tick the box. Smaller bezels. Tick the box. Performance. Tick the box. What's missing? Fanboys won't save Xperia.
I honestly think the XZ3 should be 5", XZ3 Ultra at 6" and the Premium anything with the 4K and maybe massive internal storage. The 5" have all the best materials but maybe differentiate on internal storage. It's a slight readjustment to open up their market a bit, going head to head with the likes of the S9 isn't working.
You could go the HTC route and try and go up against the big hitters or try something like Moto who own the other lower ends. The XZ2 Compact is very niche, it is unique, it should be the main focus because they have a chance there as there are no android competitors in that space. Give the thing really nice materials and design and it will be a saviour for them. A compact with dual camera at IFA would be a showstopper no matter how fat.
I'm hearing a lot about folding phones recently, looks like the next big innovation. Apparently Microsoft are looking at ultra portable Surface devices so perhaps modular or folding tablets but not necessarily a phone. I think we will definitely see near finished prototypes this year.

Maybe the Y design with curved back would look good.
Also shorter phones with 16:9.
Nokia 8 Sirocco has 14cm tall, like XA2.
Its screen is 5.5 16:9.
Iphone SE could never outperform sales of the 4.7 and Plus variants.
Iphone 6 is still sold out there, southern Asia.
Ppl are running from small phones.
I bet Z3c was the only one to sell as good as bigger brother.

Well the Playstation 5 will be out anytime within the next 2 years. If there is going to be any cross promotion or tech/feature sharing between Sony Mobile and Playstation we might see it then. I mean we already have remote play on Xperias, so that's a great start. I hope they try to build on that relationship.
