Yep. Go to \\tpa\\preset\\system\\custmenu and delete all the folders that contain the menus you don't want (probably all of them), then delete the cust_menu_data.dat and cust_menu_done_unpacking.dat files
Max, have been following this thread through, but have hit a speed bump with this one. I agree that it is one of the most useful hacks, but can't get the globes to go away, even after a master reset.
I had first tried editing the xml files myself to no avail either. Hm?

did you try without doing a reset?
a reset restores them. there may be .itm files that can be deleted to prevent this.
I'll look into it.
@rocky, try using a png image if you haven't already. make sure it is exactly 176x220. i also haven't worked out the best no. of frames for an animated graphic. i have a matrix animation that looks cool but phone takes then too long to shutdown

@max_wedge
im sure its at the right size. and the animation is fit to end as long as the original.
well actually i did somethin else besides tweakin the shutdown animation, i also did camdriver tweaks.. from 97% down to 95%.. ive noticed some of my saved jpegs had gone blocky after doin that.. silly isnt it?
and one more query... about menus. have you tried doin the straight line menu. not the 4x3 matrix.. but on one straight line, just like some of W810's theme. was it successful?

it was quite easy.
the themes all work with it,but you must have a suitable background to match the menus.
the most suitable colour for the menu is black.
so,your theme must be black in colour.
my files?
all i did was download the files.
put the files in the menu using far manager.
then,copy the layout.xml.
and voila. you got menu on your phone.
i tried this menu.

download this menu.
there's a text in the layout folder.
It says
"English:
Copy the included layout.xml to /tpa/system/layout/layout.xml
to remove the scrollbars in Fullscreen mod"
