Hello all,
I've been having probs with my comp....my hard disk crashed and I lost all my work. I've been reading about the new driver..........does'nt seem so spectacular.....I think maybe numbs photo has been passed thorugh a noise suppressing software....you can notice that from the sky.....our phones dont take sky photos like that nor do actual Sony Cybershot digicams......no offence intended to numb if I'm wrong.
By combing both drivers and adjusting the nightmode fps I think we can come up with a reasonable good driver. Nobody has gone ahead and altered the Night mode fps setting for a still shot I see......this holds the key to our perfect cam driver I believe where noise suppresion is concerend.
Could sombody post or lead me to a completely un touched driver of the R1AA series please.
Thank you,
Akshay

No offence taken, but
If you had been around this forum as long as I have, you would know that I never cheat or post modified pictures, or give false information.
The only alteration done to the pictures I post ever are resizing.
But naturally resizing to a lower resolution itself slightly hides noise.
I never use any noiseremover on my pictures, I prefer original detail over noise.
Heres the original full size picture for reference
And a few more original fullsize pictures from the same day

I've been on the forum long enough mate.....thats why I said that if I'm wrong I did'nt want to offend you.....my mistake

.
The re-sizing cause the pic too loose noise like you said mate.
The Pic is fabulous.....can you please post up the un modified driver please.
Regards,
Akshay

no problem
I only have the R1A044 driver that some one else posted after my request, I dont know if its modified in any way, havent modified it myself.
anyways heres a link to the driver Im using
http://spawnweb.dk/camdriver0.dat
PS: I think that the work you are doing with the hybrid drivers are exceptionel, and I have seen very good results, but primarily in handling lower light pictures better. The reason I allways prefered the R1A044 driver was for its pictures taken under optimum condition, simply cause I almost allways only use my phone cam, when conditions are optimum. I beleive the R1A044 driver are poorer than the hybrid driver in lowlight conditions.

Anyone here know if the IR light cut filter could be removed by far? Or is it burned to the chip? Would be nice if we could take ir photos just by changing some camera setting.

1. cam loads takes photos leaves the cam and doesnt save
2. files become unopenable util phone reboot
3. extream lag when cam intializes
4. unable to use FAR with w800i
5. memory card disapiers?! when in walkman mode
6. walkman skin chages back to normal after reboot goes back to the WMP11 skin
any ideas?
think it MAY be the displydriver0.dat modification or the hiss phone was fine on Hybrid only mod hybrid is awasem btw! when can we expect 2.5?

The plastic lense cover that protects the lense is not an IR cut filter from what I can tell (another poster replaced his with clear glass and it didn't result in purple tinges - a normal sign of IR leakage) - meaning it's either a software filter or a coating on the lense itself my guess.
