The yellow on the black one isn't too over powering.

Couldn't live with the W760i problems anymore

after 5 straight sony ericsson phones, which i've loved.. I've finally turned to the dark side! Sony i'll miss you, but i've gone and got myself a Blokia N95 8GB.. Yes i feel dirty, but sony has blown it for me with the W760i which i loved and wanted so much!

I Totally understand your fustration. I'm VERY lucky I haven't gone through that much with my K850i - VERY VERY lucky indeed. Truth be told you will enjoy that N95-2/4 (-2 Europe, -4 NAM ; both with 8GB Flash NAND). However you'll come across its OWN achilles heel - the slider getting weak as its build is NOWHERE close to

's or even to Samsungs' (these Korean's got sliders to a SCIENCE down pack)! Theres screw tightening, business card trick, new case or service that remedy's this issue depending on severity. But you won't notice this for a few months out of owning it anyway. (plenty of threads on HowardForums mentioning this).
Personally I'm going for the E71-2 NAM version. Its the best of both worlds for me. I'd like to see

take on doing an S60 phone (kind of a southpaw box against Nokia's UIQ phone)

.
OH yeah, not to other W760i owners, give it one more chance with a SEUS firmware upgrade. Confirmed that K850i FW Installs on SEUS completely wipes the Firmware & Flash (similar to DaVinci does). Give it a shot within 30days and hopefully this'll be what SEUS will do to the W760i's as well. HOpEfully.

Hi, i asked this some time ago, but since nobody replied, i'll ask again:
When you close the slider, the keyboard locks, in this event, if you're using the walkman player, you cannot control the tracks (play/pause..)... is there a way to disable this feature and prevent the keyboard from locking, so the walkman controls remain usable????
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure of how to disable the keypad locking when you close the slider, but you can just control the play back using the shake control, or use the volume up and down key:
press and hold volume down for 2 secs to skip to next track, or hold volume up to rewind to begining of track or go to previous track.

Thank you!, the volume control solution fits my needs a bit better than shake control....

Yeh they shake control does seem a bit of a gimmick and not really practical in day to day use. I tried it on the bus sat there flicking my phone around, trying to get the damn thing to change track, everyone looking at me like i'm a weirdo! lol

@prom1
Totally agree, the N95-2 is a nice handset, but the build quality is no where near a Sony phone, and the battery life compared to my old p990 is pretty bad. Can i live with it? Yes, because it plays music flawlessly, take great pictures.. in FOCUS (unlike the W760i, no auto-focus... go figure...) and i just need to charge it most nights..

I'm looking at getting this phone only it's not available in any shops (that i know of) in Ireland. Can anyone recomend a ebay seller? I heard e-cell can be quite bad, phones taking a very long time to arrive etc....
